Seriously, like, beyond what their job description entails, who was the most insane and funny teacher you've ever had in school?

Mine was my 12th grade physics teacher, who seemed to be on the same brainwave as his students some of the time and had weird real-life stories to tell. Basically, he could relate to his students and make it so hilarious to listen too. It went on so long, sometimes, most of the period would've passed and class would be about over. LOL

Here's to wondering if there are other teachers like him... Who'd qualify as your most interesting teacher that you've ever gotten to know?

1sam234 : Well, for me, I have a very interesting History teacher. He used to be a lumberjack before, and he's a really cool and funny guy.
Even though I hate history, I still have fun in History when he's teaching me.

1sam234 : Hey!

Omg, we're the exact same! My funniest and most down to earth teacher is my current Physics Teacher! He's so funny, it's unbelievable.. He has a good laugh with all the students in my class, which is very motivating at the same time as funny!

His name was Mr. Baxter. He always used past experiences and stories which related to the topics we were learning so it would draw us in because everyone loves a good wee story! He would just sit and have a 1 to 1 conversation with you about ANYTHING... even off the subject of Physics, and he'd make a good laugh out of it! It's great!

He just kept talking and talking so we would get no work done and miss a whole period of Physics!

We both have amazing Physics teachers!

Continuing the science teacher theme, my biology teacher at secondary school was pretty awesome. It was because of her that my parents took my short sightedness seriously and actually took me to the opticians where I got my glasses. Before she intervened, their response was simply "move closer to the front". She had a word with them and they took her seriously (probably because in that class I was on the second row from the whiteboard and still couldn't see it).

Yeah, my parents never took s*** seriously until authorities (teachers or police) stepped in. They still don't but that will bite them eventually.

The most interesting teacher I had was a substitute.
He would always stand on chairs just to get our attention.
He also fell off the chair one time we thought it was kinda funny.

1sam234 : I did have the same teacher like that. my 11 grade Physics, Material Science teacher (who was the same person) is a very very funny teacher, everything he says, he include a funny example (like for projectiles, "image someone on a swing swinging and then jumps off the swing and before he hits face on the ground")

Mine was my 11th grade English teacher. His name was Mr. Barbara. But after college, he joined this program he told us about called the "Jet Program". If you have a teaching degree, a master's degree in English and another degree in any other subject, you are eligible to join this program. They fly you out to Japan(I don't know if you can choose other countries) to help teach Japanese kids English for a year, with the chance to renew it two times for a total of three years. I always enjoyed his stories about Japan since I am a Japanese culture enthusiast. And then learning more Japanese vocabulary. And then, on top of all that, he was a very kind, good humored guy that knew how to take a joke. He was more than a teacher, he was my friend.
