In my opinion its as simple as this:

Homework - obviously, work you should do AT HOME. Whatever assignments you don't get done in class or whatever assignments your teacher assigns you to do to be returned the next day. So you have no choice but to do that assignment when you go home that day.

Classwork - again obviously, work you should do IN CLASS. Every once in a while a teacher would give you an assignment at the beginning of class to be turned in at the end of class. Therefore, you should do that assignment while your still in class.

This is just from my experience. Of course, other people's opinion may differ greatly from mine, but its as simple as that isn't it?

I prefer the homework to be at school, since you have enough time to just relax, and prepare for the next day. I just hate having a lot of work at home, then you don't have any time to do anything when you're done.

I am no longer at school, but when I was there I thought we shouldn't get homework and I still think the same now. It's not like you don't do the same thing actually at school. You go home for a break from school work.

I hate homework.
I always prefer doing anything school related at the school because I have a much easier time working at school and if I have a question the teacher can answer it so I can be done once I come home.
And I don't see what the purpose of it really its the same exact things we did in school.
Meaning we don't really learn anything from doing it.

My teachers always have extra time in class to get a head start on homework and I usually take it so I don't have to be bothered with it at home, so I usually take the opportunity. If it is a simple sheet or assignment I can get it pretty much all done at school but if it is a bigger assignment, I can start it at school and finish it at home.

So that is the difference, classwork is done in class at school and is your responsibility to finish it before class is over while homework can be done at school if there us spare time or started at school and finished at home.
