I'm sure all of my fellow Christians out there know of the book of Revelation, the very last book in the bible. It tells about the details of the Rapture & the 2nd coming of the Lord. Many of people have made beliefs about the 2nd coming of Jesus, but no one knows the exact date or time. But, within the book itself it mentioned several signs of it to come. 

Mother3fan5 : Actually Delaware has had earthquakes and tremors before so it really isn't the strangest of place,  meaning that is kind of out the way. I don't want to be a boring person but I'll even attempt to disprove your first statement with the rumors of war. I feel as this would be a more appropriate sign in the days of peace there has always been wars and rumors of wars. Whenever there is political tension there is a rumor of war.

Anyway the signs are very vague and to be honest the 2nd coming of Jesus would be more of a frightening aspect would it not? I mean I myself am not a Christian but I do have Christian family members whom when asked about this subject said that this would be somewhat bad since wouldn't it conclude to the rapture or some other disaster? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway I think I'll keep an eye on the thread to see some religious views of this.

I think you need to think of more specific prophesies, like what is written in the Book of Revelation, Daniel and Thessalonians. The ones that you mentioned are signs that Jesus said that would come when the time is close (which is also why what Jesus said was kinda general)

Now, we know that it is getting closer to the Last Days by what Jesus said, but the ones that you mentioned are not specific enough to say that we are IN the events of Revelation. You know what I'm saying?

The only way it would be a disaster is if you aren't exactly Christian.(Well, I do admit that when I wasn't really Christain it frightened me aswell. When you've put your full trust in God, it doesn't frighten you as much, trust me.) Christians are often hunted and hurt and have been, so I'd think that the rapture is a good thing. And a great display of the lord's power. I can't get into the whole message of it all, Revelation's a massive book study - wise and altogether.

But can you as a Christians really know what your lord would do after "revelation." Would any human be able to comprehend the mind of a omnipresent being. Although faith can be a guide, does that mean you could possibly be blindly guided? I'm not being anti-Christian I'm just questioning things that are rarely answered since they are usually completely thrown aside by a god will never misguide them. I think the Christian members of my family are right to be someone scared of it as even they admit they cannot fully understand there own god. Am I wrong in saying this? I mean debating any matter of religion is and will be a sensitive subject. But is it worth discussing? I mean want will happen after Rapture or Salvation whatever you wish to call the events of Jesus's return. I agree with play4fun the events are just not specific enough. Thus to literally pin-point the return would be somewhat hard. I myself to use a more correct term is an Agnostic Atheist as I do not believe in god but I do not deny the possible existence of a religious god because that is unknown knowledge.

Last time there was not a war on earth, anywhere. At least a recorded one. Was some four or five hundred years ago. And maybe for a week.

And as for earthquakes, there is always seismic activity and the crust of the earth is never still.

As for the Russian troops being on the move. I have lived in a country with over 1000 km of border with them all my life and there aint never a time that they are not on the move or having a war practice of some sort.

So keep your shirts on.

Mother3fan5 : These signs are awfully generic.  Earthquake and war?  That's been happening since the advent of humankind.  Humans are political and war is a part of politics.  Earthquakes are geological events and they will never go away.

I guess you're absolutely correct if both of those are the signs of end times.  But we've been expecting end times the past 10,000 years then since both have been happening the entire era of human history.

Signs of the second coming have been going on for a long time.

Nation rising against nation...the world wars anyone? Not long ago there was an earthquake in Atlantic Canada. ATLANTIC Canada. How often does that happen? Famines and pestilence...Africa hasn't always been rife with hunger and AIDS. Not saying for sure, but it kind of looks like they are here. Also, within the last hundred years or so A LOT of people have been reportedly pretending to be Christ.

the 1800s If I recall. But I'm not nearly as well studied
in these subjects anymore. I'm not saying that Jesus
isn't going to come back in 10 years or so, but I'm
not to sure that he will. It seems that everything heads
toward it slowly. If I recall correctly, then I believe that
the Bible says that the end will come quicker and
quicker. I beleive this means that stuff will happen 
to indicate his second coming more and more often.

I would say that the signs have been fullfilled 
more and more often.

Sword legion : That makes sense actually. For example, there are a small few accounts of people impersonating Jesus around a hundred years ago, but now you see it a lot more often.
