I have my 360 controller hooked up to my computer and I believe I have all the correct plugins for it, so how do I get the xbox controller to work on this game?

I really don't know about an xbox controller but I use a Logitech usb controller and all I have to do is double click or hit esc to get to where you chance the controller options. Have you tried that? If so I have no idea.

GenesisJunkie : Neither double clicking or pressing escape do anything. Is it supposed to bring up a menu or something??

In retrospect my friend, most controller will not work with other systems... that's pretty much common sense, the only way to get them to work is to get an adapter-converter for you controller.

Or, you can get a job and save up money to get an actual N64 controller then get an N64-to-PC adapter...

Otherwise, you're pretty much going to have a lot of issues... because the button scheme is different, most controllers will actually create more errors when trying to pair them up with the wrong system than how much you would error just using the keyboard.

Sorry, but that's kind of known... you can't plug your xbox 360 into an N64... so what makes you think a PC will make a difference, plus you need to make sure your PC has already adapted to the xbox 360 controller and recognized it as a controller port.

Are you trying to do it with N64 games? If so, you HAVE to use the 1964 emulator. It is the only N64 emulator in the plugin that supports control configuration. if you are using the Mupen64, it will not work because it does not have a control configuration option. That is likely why you are double clicking and not getting anything.

SacraRain : I'm really confused on what you are talking about here.

Sure there are some issues replicating N64 controls EXACTLY to any controller, but there are a bunch of USB PC controllers that work great for most emulators...Just an FYI.

Killbot122 : As was said before, make sure you are using the 1964 emulator to configure the controls.

I also know the the wireless 360 controllers do not work with your PC through the plug and play charger. Even though your computer senses it when plugged in, it doesn't actually work with windows. There may be software out there that you can download to make it work, but I'm not familiar with that. Otherwise you have to use the actual USB 360 controllers.
