I just recently saw Star Trek Into Darkness and it is by far, the best movie I have seen all year. This movie, in my opinion, surpasses the first one so far that it deserves its own series. I am just kidding. This one is slightly better because of better use of humor, action, and of course, lens flairs haha.

Do you think it is a good movie? If you do, please, feel free to respond below. If you don't well just do the same I suppose.

It is a really good movie, I also think it is better than the first one and I think it is full of action and it is just really amazing. There is a lot of humor in the movie mostly because of spock and his always following the rules and his funny technical words and never wanting to break a rule. Also I thought that captain Kirk was funny too because of how he reacted towards Spock's comments. I really loved this movie it was amazing and I also thought khan was really cool in this movie too, I love his evilness and he loves to use that one move where he crushes your skull by putting pressure on your temples doesn't he? If I could see this movie again I would, it was awesome!

I don't really like sci-fi much so I don't like the Star Trek series I just don't like stuff confusing and sci-fi movies usually confuse me.

Ok here goes. It was an improvement on Star Trek 2009 (6/10). I give Star Trek I.D. 7.5.
But it had major flaws. Although its flaws, it delivered on what it was suppose to deliver, big thrills and a sense of a new image on an old product. And that is where it has its flaws for me. In the 2009 version, the character performance seemed quite awkward and clunky. And it is perfectly normal. It was the first time the actors portrait them and well lets face it we all grew up with the original cast. So when you see an alternate time line of the same characters it is bound to feel a tad weird. But 4 years later and a new movie, one expects to see an evolution or a step forward with these alternate time line  characters. And sadly most of them seems stale or even took a step backwards from the 2009 movie (Bones). The only one who actually did a leap in the right direction is Spock.
Anyways that is my 2 cents of it.

It was decent but not ground breaking.
Also, i could see major plot holes.
Mediocre, not uncommon with star trek though

austipokedude : The writer of the last two movies J.J Abrams, set them up so you don't need to know much about the series so it's a lot less confusing. So if you ever wanted to give sci-fi a chance the 2009 movie, and this would be a good start.

As for what I think of Into Darkness I loved it! It was one of the rarer times a sequel is actually bigger and better than the first. I actually only watched the last two movies recently because the villain is played by Benedict Cumberbatch from Sherlock, and more recently The Hobbit. But the movies grew on me. I liked Spock and Khan the best. Scotty, and Kirk were awesome too though. Sure it had some plot holes and unanswered questions, but I still liked it. I rate it a solid 9/10. But that's just me.

I wonder what the character limit on this thing is.

Honestly it was one of the best movies this year. It really had everything in it. A lot of the movies out there are pretty bad so its nice to see one that actually was entertaining. It probably was the 2nd or 3rd best Star Trek movie behind First Contact and Star Trek 2. I actually went with my friends again and then with my parents and they all really liked it. I think the announcement of the villain and the reverse death from Star Trek 2 really made it an awesome and surprising movie. Personally I wish they would come out with a new Star Trek series. Not based on this of course, but something.
