We all know that Pokémon is one of our favorite games and I've always been a big fan of the series but lately I question something... Is it really just a game?

I see Pokémon themselves as far more then the simple game to me they have been my closest and almost only friends and some of the stranger things that I have experienced from them... Strange sounds at night almost like Pokémon cries that sound like Pokémon from the team of whatever version I was just playing but yet I always recognize one cry every time I hear one I know it has to be an Eevee my favorite Pokémon! I hear it every time it comes when I'm sad or I feel hurt and upon hearing that cry I start to feel better and imagine seeing an Eevee and hugs it lovingly and happily.

But lately these strange things and sounds have been occurring more and more ever since my discovery of Pokémon based Creepy pasta stories some good and some that are scary but looking at them and the now mysterious shadowy figures and distant cries of possibly Pokémon sounds outside of my games I feel that one of those creepy pasta might be right and the one I'm talking about involves Pokerus the virus that can help Pokémon... Think about it a strange virus that causes a mutation that allows the increase of their abilities maybe they were all actual animals changed by the pokerus and yet strangely if that is a real yet none fictional theory then what if it's real and slowly real animals are becoming Pokémon leading to our future to becoming that of the Pokémon franchise.

I probably sound crazy right now maybe I'm just going crazy I don't know but yet I wish I could explain why I hear Pokémon cries late at night when no Pokémon games are on...

Pokemon is My Friend, I play it all the time, Pokemon is like my Gaming Station!

The best thought of all referring to Pokémon is something I think we can all agree on is no matter the version we look at out team beyond that of helpers but as Friends and Family we watch each other grow and build off of each other as we try and adapt to this world around us...

Thank you Pokémon for being a game we could turn to!

Yeah... I have to agree with you there, Light. Pokémon is a game we can all turn to - it helps teaches us friendship, working hard... and beating the rear of evildoers. I mean, practically all of the main series, and most of the spin-offs, had an 'evil' group: Rocket, Aqua, Magma, Galactic, Plasma, Neo Plasma, Cipher, Snagem, the Pokémon Pinchers, Team Meanies...

We also had like a similarity to a British TV show in our Platinum version about a man named Looker who helps to stop galactic problems of time and space... He's the Pokémon version of Doctor Who as some people describe.

Yeah pokemon to me is just a game, But a fun one at that. All the level grinding and it burns time, Creepypastas are just things to scare you.

Yeah to some people they can look at it however they want and they can see it as just a game, but I think it is much more than that to those who have played it a long time and really have enjoyed it. It can take me out of the annoying world of the bus on high school, I can just drown out all the jerks and loud annoying kids on my bus with Pokémon games, I see it as a friend. I am a huge fan of Pokémon considering I have watched the shows and also because I collected the cards and I play the games all the time. So I see Pokémon as more than just being a good game, but I see it as a friend to take you away from being bored anytime you want.

Of course it is just a game!How could something virtual be someone's friend?It has no feelings and no heart.But if a bond were to develop it would eventually wear off in a couple of years.

Well that just your one opinion trying to go against the others who believe it to be possibly more than a game. At times it is good to be dreamer because it makes our lives more exciting and helps us look forward to achieving our goals.

Yep I do like the game to much and even the Creepyypasta stories people have made are good to read.

To many people, yes. To some people, ABSOLUTELY NOT! I am more on the yes side of things. 

Pokemon, in short retrospect... is whatever you want it to be.

For many of us Pokemon fans, Pokemon is our family... it's our friends... it's our happiness and it's our tears.

Many of us love the game not because of the concept or the idea, but because the game has somehow influenced us...

When I was younger, I didn't like animals at all.. then I started playing Pokemon, and nowadays... I do everything possible to be friendly and compassionate towards animals of all sorts, and yes... even bugs and insects I will be compassionate with.


I love you Caterpie, and Misty is really messed up for treating you like garbage... you're adorable and cuddly, but most of all... you're my friend, and you have been one of the best out there.

Pokemon is a game.
Yes.
But it makes people think.
Are these pokemon really our friends?
When you look at your pokemon in a nuzlocke.
You will cry when they die.
Pokemon might be virtual pixels.
But can be heart breaking, the moment you lose them in a nuzlocke challenge.

I think it is more of a game.
It is like a virtual type of reality where you make friends with these creatures called pocket monsters.
You will get sucked into it (sometimes) you will take it seriously.
To make it more of a game I suggest nuzlocke.

I tried the Nuzlocke challenge... I nearly lost my starter just after leaving town and I became Terrified.

Pokemon is a family I turn to.
Sometimes I feel a chill, like someone is breathing on me.
I also feel as something is watching me when I sleep, but it seems protective.
And I know these things had to be my Pokemon.
Pokemon is great.

I put this question on my tumblr and a buddy said this.

LuntheDragon: Pokémon has been everything to me since I was three. It
was all I did or loved and I never stopped talking about it. Once Pokémon
Emerald came out everything became much better for me. I stopped being
as social and played the game over and over and over. Eventually when I
looked around I felt at home. I felt as I was on a Journey. Getting
older that feeling faded. I still loved the games but everything seamed
less real to me.((Nop notch grammar I know)) Until a few days ago, I
felt like that feeling would be gone forever. I was about to start a new
game on poke on mystery dungeon. Right as I pressed new game I felt
really tired so I put It off to tomorrow and went to sleep. During that
night I had a dream I was in the game. It might seam dumb but It felt
so real to me. It was such a vivid dream and some of the events in It I
didn’t even remember. I woke up remembering the dream. I was a Mudkip and
my partner was a Female Torchick. I started up the game and answered
the questions truthfully. I turned out to be a mudkip and it described me
perfectly. The first choice on the list of partners was a female
torchcik. I had that feeling again. I felt that they were there. My
body just needed to remind me….

I do believe that Pokemon are just characters in a game but there is a point that some of these creatures are actually based off of real world animals and figures in some different cultures.
