Davideo7: Hey David, I have had a question or maybe a suggestion for vizzed for awhile now. Their is a awesome software our there, http://raptr.com/ called raptr. I don't know if you have heard of it but you can link it to your gaming console and it will monitor and track everything you do and tally up achievements for you and compare your stats to other people that use the program. This also goes for computer games you play. Also, but achieving certain stuff in games you can unlock certain gifts like free games and in-game content, or a percentage off of whatever. Anyway do you think there might be some kind of system in the future like this for this site, I know for me personally earning achievements alone is a blast, and will make me put extra time and patience into games. So yea, just an idea, vizzed is just amazing the way it is right now, and if it was never added it would not be to big of a loss. Thank you for you and your mods hard work and making it possible for all of us gamers to have something like this to enjoy. I wish I had the knowledge to run something like thanks. I think I speak for everyone when I say thanks man!

Summon didn't work dude.

Davideo7 : Hopefully it worked for me lol

I actually think this is an interesting idea, achievements would be a good way to make people take part a little more I think. Not sure how much work would be involved in implementing it, should it be done. But it sounds good.

It would be rather interesting. Achievements could be stuff like reach 1000 posts or make a 3000 word post. It could be another wy to have competitions.

I've thought about adding an achievement system of some sort to the games in the RGR but it'd be very difficult to do since there's no way to actually code it into the games so it'd require users to record themselves doing something that we'd classify as an "achievement" and than a mod would have to watch the video to see if they qualified.

I do plan to add an award system to the forum itself eventaully.

I wonder if it would be cool to have like a spot in everyone's profile that can put badges of achievements on it. For example, with the monthly competitions that we have, it would be cool that there would be a badge made for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and they would be placed on the winner's achievement area, instead of people writing a description on the right side of their posts.

I love all these ideas, this kinda stuff makes stuff a lot more interesting and challenging if your competitive. But I do understand what David is saying, I can see wear that would be really difficult and the other option would be a pain in the butt it seems like. Maybe from just making this post though, it will spark even more ideas from other people. You never know if theirs something that could pop up that would work.

Not only all of that, but game achievements have a way of making people want to branch of their typical comfort zones.  For instance, normally (with exception to Golden eye, of course) I tend to stay away from first person shooters; if I think their are achievements toward some goal to win, however, it has a way of considering trying new things.  At any rate, theirs my two cents.
