This is a tragic thing that happened and we still don't know what is the cause of the explosions (there were 2 back to back at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Many people were there.) As of now, the count is 2 dead and 23 injured. We need to pray for those that are affected by this. This is hitting closer to me, for I live just outside of Boston and I have friends that work in Boston or live around there. Thankfully, me and my family are safe, and so far, I haven't heard anyone that I know that is there, but we are seriously praying for those who were affected.

This is tragic...

I heard of the bombing in boston , this is just a  act of carelessness , who ever did this should be brought to justice .

carelessness is the wrong word, wanton destruction is more like it.
people who attack civilianscare scum, pure and simple. given there were multiple explosions ans all within perhaps the buissiest area of the city, it can only be a deliberate, organised attack.

thenumberone : yeah, I was watching ESPN, and they said that at the time, it was a terrorist act claiming 2 lives, 86 injuries, and some of those injuries took some limbs.

It was nothing short of a tragedy, but something shines through all the bulls***.

Today, the city of Boston proved that even though a**h***s like this exist... there are also a lot of good people left in the world.

Some people, following the event, finished, and continued running to the hospital to give their blood.

Some people, instead of running away from danger, ran into it, just to help others, regardless of whether or not they knew them.

Everyone there will be affected for a long time, if not forever.

I don't often say this, but today, my faith in humanity was restored.

I already knew there were a**h***s who would destroy a city like Boston, and kill people for no reason.

I didn't know people were still capable of giving a s*** about others.

Boston is my home away from home. I have a lot of memories there. It was attacked, and Boston fought back.

Boston may have been decimated by the attacks, but Boston is strong, and ultimately, will stand strong.

My thoughts are with the victims and their families.

This should be re-stated clearly.

Sure at first they didn't know exactly what to call it so they tiptoed around the situation.

There is no doubt that this was a planned attack on the Marathon by a group of people. Whether it's domestic or a international terrorist threat, no one knows. No one has claimed responsibility as of now.

Two bombs exploded in succession like 10 seconds apart. These were huge explosions created to have shrapnel fly into innocent people.

It was done at the finish line of the Boston Marathon when they knew people would be clustered up watching people finish.

Today was "Patriot's Day" in Massachusetts

A third bomb was found and diffused. The Feds are sure this is a part of the same "attack"

I feel for all the victims of this sad tragedy done by some gutless individuals that like to prey on innocent people. My heart goes out to them and their families.

Stay safe everyone. The world is a crazy place.

Why do people do such things?!?!?!

I got an update that 3 people died and 140 were injured and they got a man who was involved in the bombing which that is great .

supercool22 : Correction: They questioned the Saudi guy but they did not say if he was involved. In fact, it's looking like he was just a victim like everyone else, so they're still on the lookout.

Interesting tidbit of knowledge, CNN reported that they had arrested a man, and now apparently the Boston Police Department is saying they haven't. The media frenzy after crazy events like this really confuses people and makes them even more scared than they already were.

Also, I want to note that there have already been conspiracy theories and there will be more to come, so guys be on the lookout for that. If you see one cross your face, don't automatically believe it. Be cynical, be thorough, and research, research, research! There are people out there who will attempt to mislead you purposefully because they see their objective to be the transformation of government, and the truth be damned if it means that they get what they want.

Not saying I disagree that the government needs to be changed, but I do not believe espousing lies and fears is the way to go. We have a Constitution that grants us the ability to change our government when we are unhappy with them, and it's our responsibility to keep informed so that we can make good decisions and change things up.

More serious update. They may have found the suspects in Watertown (if anyone has heard of that). Best source at the moment-

I live an hour away from Boston so I've been dealing with this ever since I found out about it Monday afternoon while I was at work. Looking through these jumbled facts mildly annoys me, so I'll clarify things a bit based on actual news reports from Boston stations.

Alrighty then. A few things need to be clarified. This was absolutely an attack. Whether terrorist or not, it was designed to inflict as much damage as possible. "The bombs consisted of explosives put in 1.6-gallon pressure cookers, one with shards of metal and ball bearings, the other with nails." They were designed to cause lasting damage. A decent number of people lost limbs. If you want to look up the more gruesome pictures, like the one that shows someone's exposed leg bone (meaning no skin covering it), be my guest, but personally I feel sick just looking at the pictures so I won't post any. Regardless, that's clarified. Next point.

No one has been arrested, but there are two suspects. The Saudi person who was questioned was later released and considered to be just a civilian who went to enjoy the event like everyone else there (except the people involved in the attack).

"Three people died and over 170 were injured when the two bombs went off shortly before 3pm on Monday. As of Thursday afternoon, 58 people remained hospitalized." That's the official count. Oh and one of the deaths was an 8 year old kid who was at the finish line to see his dad cross it.

Most importantly, they have two suspects who they're trying to find. If you know anyone who lives in the area or spent any time around Boston recently, forward this to them-
