Whats your favorite pokemon game and why? Mine is Heartgold and Soulsilver, mainly because you get to explore 2 regions, battle 16 gym leaders, and the fact that Red is the final boss. Oh and not to mention it was the remake of the best gameboy color game ever.

My favorite Pokemon game is Pokemon emerald because you get to catch raquaza,Kyogre,and groundon in just this game and it has a better story plot then sapphire,ruby,yellow,red,blue,and platinum I'm not gonna name anymore because at least you get my point that I'm telling you.

I chose red/blue. I grew up with first Gen and I'm not keen on anything after 3rd. 

I am going to sound a complete arse for saying this, but my favorites are Black and White. (Though not Black 2 and White 2)
The reason for this is because I feel so much effort is put into those games. There are so many minor details to improve on everything the game has to offer. And despite loving all of the games, I have no problems with the immense amount of Pokemon that the game has. I also love the way the battles look compared to the other games with things such as permanantly animated Pokemon and a moving camera.
However, the main reason I love Black and White is the story. It is brilliant. It touches upon one of the biggest issues people have had with Pokemon and answers it. (The biggest issue being the Pokemon fighting each other for personal gain of the trainers)

My favorite game is Black and White because my favorite Pokemon is Snivy.

Pokemon Silver is my favorite from the series, not only because it was my first Pokémon game, it was the first one to catch my attention the silver catridge and seeing my favorite Pokémon Luigi on it, I had to have it.

Gold and Silver are my favorite games in the series. Those were the first Pokemon games that I played, and I loved the way that after you beat the Elite Four, you could go to Kanto and fight against their gyms.

I personally didn't like Gen 1 all that much. Dont get me wrong gen 1 had great games. I dont see why thats peoples favs (mainly because of Firered/Leafgreen.) but hey... thats you opinion lol.

My favorite is pokemon emerald because it is awesome!

I like emerald, I have played it so many times, and it is extremely fun and there is so much to do. I like the Pokémon, the battle frontier and I like to catch the legends, so hands down I pick emerald. I will get White and Black as well as white and black 2 because they sound awesome. I am eagerly waiting for x and y, I cant wait until it is finally released in October.

I like Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 the most for a few reasons. The main one is how good the training is. In black I have LV 50's, but in Black 2 I have Pokemon in the 70's, in a shorter amount of time. 

I have to say that pokemon gold,silver, crystal are my personal favorite games.

for the hacked version pokemon prism is amazing..

the gba games would be pokemon emerald. i like it.
the hacked games wouldbe:
fire red generations
light platinum
flora
and these hacks with a to long name lol...

my other favorite pokemon games are the mystery dungeon versions.. man they are amazing.and i love them
for the ds versions i must say that the heart gold and soul silver games are by far the best. because they aree the ds remakes of pokemon gold and silver.
for the gameboy other gbc versions i think pokemon yellow is the best.
and forthe gameboy pokemon red/blue pokemon green is cool to... but the translation is bad..
for the hacks i think pokemon brown is by far the best.

i also liked the card game version for the game boy and gameboy colour. there was also a computer game of it. that was also amazing.
still remember playing it on school when i  was 10 years old or so lol.

Gold in my opinion is the best Pokemon game ever. However, I sadly have not beaten it or played it in awhile, because my GBA is still MIA and I'm too lazy to play any other game on my PC often that isn't named Team Fortress 2.
