I read the Pokemon manga, so I wound up always giving my Pokemon nicknames based on their own names or their types.

E.g.: Pikachu was Pika-chan and Jynx was Icy-chan.

I think I liked the nickname I gave my Swampert the most. I called him Mud-chan. XD

well i name my strongest and most trusted pokemon out of all of my team relinquish i treat it as sort of a rank why...? well there are 3 reasons

1.relinquished is the name of my favorite yu-gi-oh card and was also my first card it was given to me bye my best friend and i still have that card to this day 

2.i just like the way the way it sounds when someone says it the word has a sort of seductive feel to it 

3.relinquish represents to submit and give up all hope to believe that all hope is lost so when you see a pokemon on my team named relinquish that shows that all hope for you and your team is lost
