I was looking through some of the games that I know, and I was looking at the high score records on those games and I noticed that some of those games get ridiculously high scores because the game has a debug mode. For example, there are scores in Sonic 1 where the highest scores are 999,900. Should....we be deleting these scores or at least have someone to check around for fake scores?

play4fun : You should be on the lookout for scores that are not legit, but I can tell you that the scores in Sonic 1 by Jerry is legit. Whether he got it using debug or not, I think it should stay. You could always PM him and ask him how he got it. He's a nice guy and I'm sure that he would tell you.

Jordanv78 : Still...wouldn't that be missing the point of a high score leader board when a player can just get a high score through debugging mode? I'll ask him, but considering the fact that he is getting 9,999,900 at the Marble Hill Zone, which is the second level of the game, I highly doubt that.

play4fun : I understand and I tend to agree with you regarding this but with game modes that are built in, or for games that have codes that give you unlimited lives or similar there is really no way to stop people from using them, that's all I'm saying.

there is a place in Marble Zone act 2 where you can "Grind" for a highscore. I works like this.  
 
destroy all of the blocks in a row for 30,000 points 
 
die 
 
go back in the level and get the extra life computer

The thing is, we need a time limit, like of 45 minutes AND video proof, that would work well points shoudl be aquired for the under 30 seconds = 50,000 points.
