Hello everyone! I made this thread because I'm curious what everyone here on Vizzed looks for when deciding which game to play in the retro game room. This came to mind specifically because of how I choose games to play. I sort of make gaming on here a bonding time with my little brother, so we go to the retro gaming room and look at the pages further back for games and choose the game based on it's name and box art. We usually come across some pretty horrible games(*cough cough* Secret agent Barbie *cough cough*) along with a few diamonds in the rough like "Warlock" and much to our surprise "Michael Jordan : Chaos in the Windy City".

So now I'm wondering - how do you choose which game to play?

Well sometimes I'll look for a game that I know is a well known classic that I have not yet played. Either that or I'll try some other games that other people have recommended or I have heard good things about. I try to beat the games before I go onto the next but that unfortunately doesn't go so well as I tend to want to try a different game considering the vast amounts of games in the RGR.

MoblinGardens : We usually try a lot of games before we decide on ones to play through. If you have the time "Survival kids" for the game boy is really fun, it makes you think more than a lot of survival games do since food can rot or make you sick. That's a good way to decide which games to play though.

I usually will play games that I have played before, that I lost for the GBA. But I also like playing classic games, that are famous. If I see an interesting box art for a game, or maybe a strange title, I'll check it out.

I usually play games that I have seen in action before (in gameplays), or that I have heard good things about, and games I have played before, but never could finish.

And when It comes to hacks... Usually by the look of their Graphics, or gameplay... Because these are usually way different than in the original game.

I guess mine would be because classic games are a big part of my childhood.
I always wanted to collect them, but I didn't always have the money to do this.
Here on Vizzed I can play most of these games, some of which are very expensive to buy today.

So I can play the games that were a bit part of my childhood that I can't play anymore because I lost them or I don't have a console, etc. It's nice to be able to go back and play old games from the GBA or even Game Boy Color; especially when there is an entire community behind it.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.
