What weapon from the classic series do you prefer the most, and what weapon do you just not use/find useless?

For me, the Metal Blades (Mega Man 2) are my favourite. They are just so over powered and useful.

But I can't seem to find a use for the Wood Shield (also Mega Man 2). They don't seem to protect you when someone hits you, and they always go through an enemy when you launch it. What is the point of this? It doesn't seem like either a shield or a weapon.

I love the guns in part 2.

I dislike the guns in part 3.
The Snake Gun= Lame. Funny. But lame.
The Hard Knuckle= Great Idea. But awkward to use (the delay) and only works on specific robots. Not all of them or a good portion of them.
Magnet Missile= Great Idea. Too Weak.
Needle Gun= Great idea. Wonderful design. Depletes too quickly.

The Top Spin= New and fun Idea. BUT... Almost Every time I used it... I took damage.
Probably the worst Gun in the Series.

Best: Atomic Fireball (Mega Man 2) Why: Fully charged, it KICKS BUTT!!!!!
BOO!!!: Super Arm (Mega Man 1) Why: You need a brick to use the weapon.  And there are like, 8 in the entire game.  Yeah, pretty useless.

I really liked the metal blades, just because they are cool.                                                           I hated the skull shield in mega men 4, because it was the first boss I defeated in that game (for me it is the hardest original mega men) and I got a freaking shield. ;(
