If zombie's infested my neighborhood, and I was the only human left. I would hide in my basement and train myself to become stronger, and kill everyone of them. I would also quite enjoy doing that. It seems like it would be a lot of fun doing that as well. But I just hope something like that won't happen in real life. That's just what I would do if I had to make it up. So this is my first thread in Project Zomboid and I don't know much about it but this thread has rules.

I would go on a zombie hunt, though like you said, I hope that doesn't really happen.

I, for one, am concerned how much you to enjoy doing this. I mean, yeah, they are zombies. But they are (or were) still your neighbors. These are people you knew. I would hope that it would be difficult to look at the face of someone you knew and end them. 

For me, forget training. If I spent time 'training', that is just giving the zombies time to wander past the neighborhood and infect more people, worsening the problem. That is assuming that this zombie situation starts in my neighborhood and is not apparent anywhere else. So grab a gun, climb a tree, and make a lot of noise. Most zombies are depicted as attracted to sound and unable to climb a tree. So I am completely safe. Just shoot each in the head as they swarm the tree trunk. Problem solved.

rcarter2 : Hm I really never thought of it like that. Now that you have told me that I don't think I would like to kill zombies, I would only try not to deal with it unless it attacks me. I am a really strong hearted person at that so I would be doing this for my friends sake. I know what my friend might say though (I know were friends and you don't want to hurt me but you must do this for your sake, kill me and all the rest and our kind will still live on in you.) yeah that's about right I like your point of view though you might not want to hurt your friends or family, but you need to do something.

dragon111 : Well actually I might be a kid but when it boil's down on stuff like this you have to have a quick smart mind on what to do so I would train myself to be the best guns man ever and soon I would be awesome and kill every zombie that comes my way. Also like you said your friend would want you to do that right so it all makes sense if you think on it. But after all I am the radical type I live and love to be awesome all day everyday. Do you understand me .

I was actually talking to my buddy about such a scenario just a moment ago. I was telling him that I really wouldn't mind a zombie Apocalypse tbh. It would suck to watch everybody I know die and have to kill them off once they were infected, but I feel like it would make life more interesting.. I could see myself whooping some zombie butt and fighting for my life everyday. Sounds exciting.. rough, but there'd never be a dull moment. I have a pretty sick 1943 military issue machete that would do the job just fine ^^  

I think the first thing I would do is look for a weapon o.o
Followed by getting up high, so I can get a good look at the area and be safe from harm whilst doing it.
When I have my bearings, searching out survivors would be next on my list, so a quick look around outside of my area for people so I would have some extra eyes to keep a look out.

After that I would find a location to fortify, and hopefully if I found some people they could help, if not I would have no choice but to go at it solo lol
When I have a safe environment to bunker down every night, food, drink, fuel and medical supplies would be next on my list.
So I would acquire a car for safer travel, and to make getting it back easier. Then head for the nearest store, and just hope it hasn't been stripped clean.
After a few days of gathering supplies and finding survivors if there even are any, Packing up and moving myself and my gear, and anyone who might be with me out to the country. A wide open space would make Zombies easier to see, so as a result defending the new fortress I would have set up will be easier to defend.

Other than that I would try to live out my days as peacefully and as safely as possible.

So yeah that's what I would do xD

Shotgun + tree + food = survival. 3 step plan that can't fail. Tbh, I wouldn't hesitate to kill a zombie. It doesn't matter who it was. Whoever it was is dead now, therefore you're not killing them. That's how I'd view it, and I would do whatever it took to survive.

To be honest, I don't think anyone should be allowed to answer with what they would do.

Like come on, you can't honestly say you would do ANYTHING until it actually happened.

That's like saying "What would you do if the world was going to end tomorrow?"

Nobody really knows what they would do, until it would actually happen.

If anything, most of us would probably do this:

1: Stress out for a few minutes or so
2: Calm down... hopefully
3: Find some sort of weapon
4: Find somewhere safe
5: Stress out even more from what is actually happening
6: Calm down once again and try to think clearly
7: Live as long as possible with some slight paranoia at all times

Like come on people, you can't honestly say you would KNOW what to do... many people crumble under the pressure and sometimes they do the opposite of what they would do. You can't exactly act all "tough" to something that hasn't happened yet, it's almost like "what would you do if you broke your leg and you were completely away from everyone that nobody could hear you?"

Like first off, you would probably scream and yell or possibly tear up at the pain
Secondly, you would hopefully crawl yourself or drag yourself to someone's house or something so you could get medical attention

Remember people, stress gets the best of us... and trying to sound like you would know what to do, is making a fool of yourself and kind of showing a little too much "ego".

Well, I would scream like a little girl and wait them come for me.NOT. I would probably pick a knife or something and kill everything in my path. but im pretty sure I would get caught eventually.

I am sure humans that have turned into zombies go through a huge pain.
So I would kill them.
But before doing that, I would get some weapons.
Baseball, nail gun etc.

dragon111 : Aahhh this old question. I've considered it before while playing RE but that's pretty much the extent of my thinking about it.
I would probably go insane seeing so much undeath, it just flies in the face of nature. But lets say I don't, I would have to become a murderer, and it would be hard to murder a zombie with a daisy pellet rifle (only gun in my house). It would be easy to survive a zombie-pocalypse in my neighborhood. There's maybe three hundred people in my co-op and I know for certain one of those people own a chainsaw. So after I make it to his block by some miracle and bludgeon him and his zombie family back to death with my rather heavy hammer, I'd find that chainsaw and get the hell out of his house (for fear they would reanimate yet again). I might start scavenging my neighbors houses for supplies once my stock get's low. I live in a wooded area so no shortage of wood for fire and fortification. Based on the zombie games I've played, fresh dead are able run so probably wouldn't leave my house for a while. But who knows what you'll do under that condition. Just like every scenario were death is a REAL probability, people don't know how they'll act until it happens.

Steal money from everyone (cautiously, of course. They could be in their house.), buy turrets, rig those riding lawnmowers so they drive in circles, then watch the zombies get shot and cut up into pieces.

If this was to actually happen I don't know if I would be upset that everyone I knew just died or if I would be Happy I myself am still alive or even if I would be pissed off or confused that I was the only one left. Am I that repulsive that a zombie wont even kill me?

If everyone turned into a zombie in my neighborhood except for me, I would barricade the doors and windows on my home and take all the food out of the refrigerator and carry it up on the roof of my house and then I would stay up on roof until I would run out of food.
