I know and love both of my parents and I think it is essential to have both influences in your life no matter if you are male or female, you need both parent's point of view and advice on life. Whether you are a male and you mostly need a male influence to show and teach you the ropes of being a man and vice versa for females because they need true dating advice from their mothers and how to deal with relationships and guys. So it is important to have both in your life, and I am lucky to have both, no matter how bad things get, we always pull through anything and everything united as a family. I apologize to those of you who have grown up with 1 parent or with divorced ones. I am blessed to have 2 parents in my life.

My situation is weird, I grew up with my grandparents. My parents were and actually still are great people but they couldn't finically support me or my older brother. It was a great choice, my grandparents raised me like i was their kid. We were respectful kids and stayed out of trouble for the most part. My grandfather died when I was 16 or 17 and my brother moved out slightly after that. Now my household is me, my grandmother, one of my brothers exes and 3 of his 5 kids.

I still currently live with my mother, I feel that it is now my responsibility to help her out and care for her after all the struggles and sacrifices she has made in order to bring me up. I grew up living with only my mother almost my whole life, or maybe all my life. My parents split up when I was still an infant and they hate each other a lot. Even though I live with my mom, she was often working, and my dad would spend a lot of time with me when I was younger. Now my mom stays at home after she quit her job, so I spend more time with her now. However, my dad is more busy, so I don't see him as much as I have before anymore.

My parents were together until I was about 14 but my mom was an abusive lunatic so I went and lived with my dad.
my dads mom (my Grandma) was always more like my mom I saw her every day she was the nicest lady I ever met never had anything bad to say about anyone. Unfortunately she passed away in a car accident in July so really now I'm just with my dad
