I had a African Dwarf frog and his name was Tom. My Mom and Grandma found him dead in his tank one day and I was so upset. I was even more upset when I found out they flushed him down the toilet. I would have liked to bury him. I also had a pet rat that died a long time ago. I had a really fat cat named Coco who crawled into a box and died in her sleep. I had a black cat named Jake that got run over by a car. I found out that my cat named Ditto died a few months ago of old age.

As with most people, I've had goldfish that died. It's a sad thing, really, but hey. Death is just a part of life, and goldfish are just... fish. Now, I have a dog named Max who is 13 years old, and even though he's still kicking now, when he dies, it's not gonna be pretty.

I had a guinea pig how died. I bury it in the garden when I was 6 or something. The same evening when I was sleeping, my parents dig the guinea pig out and throw it in the waste. I didn't know they did that for a long time.

I also had a cat. She was very kind to my family and she was a hunter. One day she came back and was very bad injured. After a operation she got better but she was incontinent. So we gave her to back to the animal shelter.

Yeah I did, my pet fish it died but they don't have a very long life expectancy so I should have  seen it coming but ironically I wasn't to sad about it dieing because I wasn't really found of it to begin with. But when it did die I flushed it down the toilet.

I'm 38 years old and I love animals, period.  So for me to say that yes, I have had pets die over the years would be an understatement.  I know it hurts when a pet dies because that animal is more than a pet.  He (or she) is a member of the family.  I have a cat named Thomas.  He has been with me since 1997 (that's right, he is 16 years old which is 112 in cat years).  I named him Thomas due to his resemblance to the cat from the cartoon show Tom and Jerry.  He was diagnosed with feline leukemia a while back and his health is steadily failing.  Even though I have dealt with the death of an animal friend numerous times over the years I know I am going to be devastated when Thomas finally passes away because he is absolutely the best cat I have ever known.  What I am trying to say is that I know what you are going through, but the good news is the fact that the feelings of loss and sorrow are only temporary.  Eventually you will find another dog who will capture your heart and that will help ease the pain.  I am not saying that you will ever forget about Spot, but having a new animal friend (when the time is right for you, of course) definitely helps ease the pain.

I had a dog named Brody. He was the best dog i had ever had. I loved that dog. But one day the gate was somehow left open and he wandered out onto the highway. He was hit by a car and killed. I could not stop crying for days, and he was only 3 yrs old. I miss him so much and the memories i have of him make me cry all of the time. The day that i found him was terrible and the awful state he was in has left haunting images in my mind. R.I.P Brody I miss you. :'(

I have had several pets die, it happens at some point. I had a hamster that died and a hermit crab die, which is it in the small pets. The big ones were dogs, the first was a Beagle named Cookie, and she only lived 6 weeks. I didn't feel bad about it because I was really little and did not really understand death yet. Then last November, another Beagle we had named Ashley died. It was pretty devastating to the family, since she was one of the best dogs we ever had. She had a tumor the size of a grapefruit that built up in her stomach. So sadly her last days were not comfortable, I could tell from her inability to walk and hold down food. I still remember the last time I saw her laying on her dog bed while I was petting her, saying my last goodbyes. Then, my mom picked her up and took her to the car so she could be euthanized. I didn't go since I couldn't bare the idea of seeing her die right before me, but I'll always remember her as one of my favorite dogs.

I had a hamster that died in 2007. XD

His name was Peppy, and he was a nice hamster.

My cat is currently older than me, and doing well in his life.
My dog is 3 years old, and I had another cat that ran away.

Yes. My hippopotamus of an uncle died. I am just kidding. I had a bird die once when I was young. It was a really bright blue and purple. It didn't talk though.

Nope I've never had a pet that has died, and I've never had a pet. But if I was to have a pet, I would have a gold fish because if it died it wouldn't be as dramatic as if a dog, cat or any other lager animal died.

When I was very little, my parents got a puppy from my uncle. It was an Egyptian(which is a misnomer btw since its more like Malta or Maltese) Pharaoh Hound.

Above picture is not my dog but a good picture of what the breed is. My dog's name was Ram(short for Ramesses or the Egyptian Pharaoh) and he lived to be 15 years old(which is above the breed's average). He was actually hit by a car when he got out one time but survived(had 2 broken legs). He LOVED to chase things, particularly RABBITS(which is what their breed is bred to do) and you need a really high fence to keep these dogs contained because they can hop a 6 foot fence. A great companion dog though not as bright as I would have liked(never learned to not pull while on a leash(even with a choke chain)).

I had a kitten in my 11th storey unit, unfortunately like most cats she liked to climb the rail of the balcony and one day when I was getting back from my friends and my sister was the only one at home, she was gonzo. So yeah that really sucked

hyperknuckles : First please accept my condolences for your loss. I too know what it feels like to lose a dog. Last year I lost my dog Scrapper. He had been with me since my thirteenth birthday and even though my teen years were very difficult and a period of my life that sometimes I wish I could forget, my dog was with me through all of it and I can’t tell you how much having a dog or a companion really means when everything else around you seems to be bad and your life is out of whack. I am a writer and I can’t tell you how many all nighters I have pulled where he would sit up with me, usually right by my desk and wait for me to finish writing before going to sleep.

Although losing him after almost 17 years was and is very hard for me, I feel blessed to have had such a wonderful friend and member of my family for all that time. He may not be with me in the way that I wish he were but he’ll always be with me. Although the pain and probably anger will probably be with you for a while, it is important to remember the good times you shared.

I know it’s difficult and some people may find it hard to understand the bond that you can have with a pet because they do become part of your family, I do believe though that it does get easier in time.

Best of luck to you.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
