Minecraft was created in 2007 by Markus "Notch" Pearson. This my review of it, and you'll read it!
*Note that Minecraft updates all the time, adding new bosses, new mobs, and new blocks about every 1-5 months depending of the update size. I'll be reviewing the game from update 1.4.7, so hold on tight.
Gameplay: 10/10 The gameplay is as simple as it gets, you spawn in a randomly generated world, and you break trees, kill zombies, skeletons, spiders, even the Slender Man! (Not really though, but it's close to it.) You can use your imagination to build anything, from small houses to giant castles, the sky's the limit. (No, you can build up higher than the clouds, which is considered as the sky.
Sound: 8/10 There is a lot of sound in this game. There is sound of you stepping on grass, when it rains, when zombies take damage, when you build, and much more. Sometimes music plays during play and it's really relaxing. oh, and in caves, you'll hallucinate (in game) and here strange noises. This is natural and adds depth into the game.
Graphics: 9/10 Looking at games like World of Warcraft and Portal 2, This game is not very impressive. The world, animals, monsters, and even YOU are made of blocks. This game is in a refined 64-bit graphic card. I really like retro graphics (like games such as Spelunky and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) and this really hit a sweet spot for me.
Depth:10/10 There is a lot to do in this game. From harvesting plants, trading with villagers, and even spawning a boss to slay (and if you do, you must be crazy), there is a plethora of things to do in the Minecraft world.
Addictiveness: 10/10 This game might as well be the sole game on the planet. This game is great in the SIngle Player modes, which you can open to LAN and play with friends in your house (and I mean IN your house. When I was playing with my brother, We had to be AT MOST 10-20 feet away for he can register), but the games really shines with multiplayer. You can find servers on the internet of by friends telling you, type in the a IP, and BAM, you can play with people all around the world, even if they aren't friendly.
Overall: 10/10 This game is a masterpiece, from singleplayer to Multiplayer, this game is a blast to play alone or with friends. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good adventure. There is no plot, so... GO!
*Side-note You can download custom-made maps and modifications to MInecraft to add to the game's experience. Minecraft was created in 2007 by Markus "Notch" Pearson. This my review of it, and you'll read it!
