Sacrifice is a hard thing. You really do not know want to do it a lot of the times, but sometimes you have to. Here are a few examples: 

Are you willing to sacrifice your life in order to prolong the life of another person, even if you don't know them?
Are you willing to let the one you love go, so they can be happier?
Are you willing to sacrifice your favorite thing so you can be closer to the ones you love?
Are you willing to sacrifice something for someone?

Like I said before... sacrifice is a hard thing. 

Share some of your sacrifice's and please... keep this thread serious, not jokingly, O.K.?

A lot of parents do this sort of thing constantly.

Rather than having all my time to myself I spend a lot of time with my kids taking care of them and doing things for them that I would rather not do but I do because they are my kids.

And it very much depends on what I'm sacrificing and who it is for that determines whether or not I'll do it.

In FPS games, I sacrifice my life to advance my teams position on field. Often times I blow myself up with enemy to save spawn points or just to eliminate them just as long as I take them out in process. I also am the one who ends up having to defend from base rapers cause I have better ability to spot things that my team doesn't see. If I see someone killing my team I'm first one on their ass even if they are 1000m away I'll take my time to go kill em.

In real life, I sacrifice too much for nothing. Maybe cause no one else cares to do it is why I do it. Kinda like in the FPS games, a lot of the team does not care to help in certain instances so I have end up doing it.

Wow this will really make you think about what you're doing with your life that's worthwhile.

You really ask an interesting question here, and I agree sacrifice is an very interesting and powerful subject. What a person will sacrifice and for what reasons reveal quite a bit about the person, and as such sacrifice is always a very, hmm, the word for it is hard to find, though I suppose respected might be the best word for it, but it feels like it lacks the power that is inherent in sacrifice. I suppose that I would sacrifice my life if it lead to the improvement of life or the survival of someone close to me, however I'm not so sure if I would do the same for a complete stranger, but I might. Sacrifice is always one of those topics that is a bit hard to talk about because well it is often times situational.
