Nah, I used to go to a private school, where they disapprove of video games and constantly tell us, "study study, STUDY!"
   Now, here on Vizzed, we have a wide variety of games and gamers. For fire emblem, you should talk to

 For Zelda, I dunno. For sonic we have many people who like sonic. And for Pokemon, oh boy, so many people. So please, never feel left out, because sometimes when people say they have no friends, they sometimes don't realize they have tons.

Fire emblem fan? Sweet! I just beat awakening yesterday. XD You looking for pokemon fans? Ask just about anyone. lol.

shadow1o0 : Hmm you must go to a strange school. Some of those franchises you named are very popular. You don't know anyone who plays Zelda or Final Fantasy? Those are two of the biggest franchises in gaming history. I kinda find that hard to believe. lol

hey we all know im the biggest pokemon fan here but same for me people know zelda but when it comes to fire emblem they look at me and think i"m talking in somee kind of different language thats one of the reasons i joined vizzed.

I don't know why I am here lol. I am also a huge gamer and a fan if many franchises, mostly the RPG Genre, I am also mostly trying to get Awakening (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻. I am hoping to get it this weekend mostly, pretty excited for that e.e and I'll be pretty ticked if the DLC ends for some reason before I get it (Doubt it though)

My favorite rock band is Queen and I listen to music all day long. I play bunch of video game including dragon ball z, Naruto, Yugioh, and other game. I had bunch of video game I play and collect them. Yet I collect bunch of rock band like journey, aerosmith, and other. I love animal including reptiles and mostly I love them all.

What is the world coming to? When I was in School, all my friends and I spoke about was Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Mega Man (well, a slight exaggeration of course, and this was only my "gamer" group of friends).

I know what you mean though, I speak to the average kid today, and all he can talk about is COD, Halo, and, if I'm lucky, Skyrim. I remember when I was in my early teens, "gaming out" was playing hours of FFIII on the NES emulator, or playing Mario 3 on the real NES. Now kids can't stay focused on anything that isn't excessively flashy and doesn't involved heavy gore.

So it's either COD or some iPad game. They say the classic video game console age is over; what a sad time for us old school gamers.

Nah. I'm 2 years younger then you and I'm a (Take a good look at my username, please.). My group of friends actually have classic consoles, which is lucky for me.

Well, I was homeschooled... so pretty much all my school buddies played the same games as I did. lol. But yeah, cod is a pretty good fish. It's also a slightly overplayed game.

I don't understand how liking awesome games makes you "weird". Your friends are just mainstream and like all that popular hipster crap. (OH GOD MY PROFILE IS FILLING UP WITH FLAMES AND HATEMAIL HEEEELP!)

When I was in school, I was relatively popular and even then I didn't have a super lot in common with most of my friends. They were fun to talk to and had interesting things to say and thought the same about me, so we just stuck around each other. One friend introduced me to anime and at first I was like wut but that's the fun of having friends who are different, they can teach you about things you wouldn't have really noticed.

I only have a few real life friends anymore (growing up will do that to you) and neither of them like many of the things I do. I don't have much in common with them at all as far as interests go. My one friend always goes to concerts and on trips and things, as she always "knows a guy" that can get her free stuff. One of my other friends goes to college 2 hours away and has a million other friends and is always going somewhere or doing something. She'll play Munchkin and silly games like that with me and Lazlo and sometimes she'll play party video games but she's by no means a gamer, nor does she understand most of the things I talk about/think are funny.

But that's okay. Friends don't need to be your carbon copy. It's okay to like different things, and maybe eventually you'll be able to introduce them to something you guys can share an interest in. If not, oh well. A friend is someone you like spending time with. If they're fun to talk to and hang around with, then having differences in hobbies and things shouldn't make too much of a difference. I'm sure it gets awkward once in a while but if something really cool happens in a video game you're playing or you want to gush about how much you like something, then just talk to your Vizzed friends about it. The internet is great for stuff like that, because there's always people who like the things you do. This is a video game site, so you know you're going to have people who will agree and discuss your favorite games with you.

I'll gladly tell you that everyone's weird in their own way. But what you like isn't weird. What you like makes you unique as a person, and you should be proud of that. I personally like games like Mega Man or Metroid, but not many of my friends share my like for them. That doesn't stop me. I still love those games to death. I could go off on a huge story about each game with my friends who don't care about it, but I still would, and because they were my friends, they would listen. Point is, everyone is unique in their own way. You should feel proud for what you like! But don't let that get to your head. Always have an open mind!

You seem normal to me. Being 25, there are a lot more kids your age than you think playing classic games

Are you sure there isn't a group of kids in your school who like the games you do? You could make some more friends!

Notice, I said "more", not "new". Which means that, even if your current friends don't like the same games as you, that alone isn't a reason to stop hanging out with them. But try to find people you can talk with about the stuff you like doing.
