NCCAA, they aren't always going to slam dunk like Lebron five million times in one game. They mostly play for fun, and, as always, a little competition. I personally played for my school's basketball team during my sixth grade year. It was me and my "brosephs" playing for fun and for the exercise.

You didn't specify, but I say professional, because I'd prefer it for a majority of the major sports. Hockey, baseball, and football I think are all better at the professional level, but if I were to watch basketball, which I don't enjoy much anyways, I'd rather watch collage.
