How much Mountain Dew do you drink every day?

This may seem like a silly question, but I take Mountain Dew VERY seriously, and I require more knowledge from other people on what would be considered the regular amount of Mountain Dew a day.

I myself drink about 3 liters of Mountain Dew every single day, and I'm quite proud of that, and the fact that for some reason I don't have any sort of medical problem because of this... yet.

Well I don't drink Mountain Dew a lot but whenever I get the chance, I tend to drink about 2 liters of it.

alexanyways : no medical problems... YET!!! Key Word right there. Yet. And on average per day? Maybe about a cans worth... I am trying to drink only diet sodas... I am trying to get back into shape... when I am drink mtn, dew, and not other sodas... maybe 3 or 4 cans a day. But usually about a cans worth, if you average out my weekly consumption.

*eyes bug in her sockets*
3... LITERS!?!? how are you not DEAD?!?  Wow!

Yipes!

Jeez!

*tries to pick up her jaw*

Um.... well I've been trying NOT to drink so much of it, because it's almost always my soda choice and I need to drink more water. However, when I AM drinking soda, I probably drink about half a Liter a day, at most.

thing1 :
Diet coke is worse for, artificial sweetners and chemicals will rot your stomach.
People dont get fat just from fizzy drinks.

Americans and canadians seem to love mountain dew, iv wanted to try it for a while but its hard to find here. The few times iv seen it iv not been thirsty or else had no money.
I only drink a cans worth of fizz a day though, I try to keep healthy.

alexanyways : 3 liters?! That's more water than I drink in a day. Doesn't that get expensive?

I agree with #1... I think diet is worse for you than just the reguler kind. I like the taste of most regular soda/pop better anyway. Except for Dr. Pepper. I love diet Dr. Pepper. XD

thenumberone : You're a Scot? I would have never known. But really? It rots your stomach? I guess I will ask the doctor when I go in to get a few things checked out. Thanks for the heads up. I will watch my intake for the time being.

None.

At age 12, I had to give up all caffeinated beverages due to a heart condition that developed. Before that, I DID like soda, but Mountain Dew just was OKAY at best for me. It was all about Sprite and Orange Soda back then (and for the brief time it was available, Crystal Pepsi). Funny, all of them were caffeine free too, but over the years, I just do not care about soda anymore.

I did try the... Code Red Mountain Dew? Had literally only a teaspoon of it to avoid too much caffeine. Not bad tasting, but still not my thing.

These days, I only have an occasional can of grape soda (caffeine free) maybe twice a month. If cream soda (also caffeine free) goes on sale, I might also indulge, but NO mountain dew.

thing1 :
Your body generaly dosent know what to do with artificial stuff so it just shoves it to the side for a while (so to speak). Your stomach can have issues dealing with them.
And artificial sweetners are many times sweeter, they can get you addicted to sweet stuff. Studys show that people drinking diet instead of fizzy are more likely to gain weight. The people I see drinking diet certainly fit that, the normal weight ones typicaly drank regular.
Its not dangerous, but its not really a better option.
And you must be the only one on site that didnt know I was scottish, lol.

You stole my idea!!!!! Lol just kidding. But in all seriousness I hate to break to ya but I drink around a gallon and a quarter every day. We have a closet filled from top to bottom of Mountain Dew, code red, and voltage. The ingredients in Mountain Dew act like a stress reliever and helps me focus. Plus it tastes awesome!!!
Thank you very much and have a blessed day

zelda2 : lol yeah I'm kidding. If I drank that much I would have a heart attack. But the ingredients do have a relaxing effect on me. I don't know why though. Although I do drink a gallon a week. Now if that counts for anything I don't know. I just thought I would throw that out there.

Mountain Dew is my main source of energy in the morning, evening, and afternoon. I drink two 24oz in the morning and another one my brake at work with my lunch. When I get home after work I drink about 1/4 of a 2 liter. This is a daily routine for me if I'm not drinking Mountain Dew I'm drinking Dr Pepper which is my 2nd favorite soda.
