What would be the name of your movie?

What genre would your movie be?

Who would you like to star in your movie?

What would your movie be about?

If I could make my own movie I would name it "Dark Shadows".
It would be a thriller, I would compare it to the movie "Primal Fear".
For actors/actresses I would star Anthony Hopkins, Ben Affleck, Denzel Washington,Tommy Lee Jones, and Samuel L. Jackson. These are some of my favorite actors, they all are great actors that have played in many different genres and would bring a good story together.
"Dark Shadows"  would be about a man (Anthony Hopkins) who was charged with the murder of his wife but claims to be framed by her father (Tommy Lee Jones) who was a U.S. NAVY SEAL for 20 years. Anthony Hopkins turns down a big time attorney (Denzel Washington) who only wants to represent Anthony because it would do wonders for his career. Anthony calls upon his old childhood friend (Samuel L. Jackson) who has just finished law school to represent him. While Anthony sits in jail awaiting his court date Samuel hires a P.I. (Ben Affleck) to investigate Anthony's wife death. As the trial begins to start Ben is no where closer to solving this murder until Ben uncovers a huge peace of evidence that will leave you speechless. Guilty? or Innocent? the ending will leave you on the edge of your seat.

I always thought "Heartbreak Ridge" could be redone.
Something about the Idea of the Tuffest guy on the planet refusing to retire till the bitter end always seemed funny.
The way that flick depicted the story, all of the replacements were not worthy to take the dudes place. Like we the audience got a chance to see the world through his eyes. I honestly thought that that was a show that could be redone every ten years with many variations.
It kinda plays out like a classic tale you read about in high school. (Cyrano DeBergerack of sorts. Sans Nose and other old ideas like killing off the lead character.)
I decided to write a tale that was similar years ago.

The Problem???

I can't make it a movie.

I wrote about characters I liked so much the thing ballooned into about 1000 pages rather quickly. (Note to self: do not base characters on your high school or college buds.)
It could be a video game or a comic book or a mini series on H.B.O. But never a 90 minute flick.
"Any-hoot."
I liked that tale.
It can always be done. Another one of those tales for the ages sort of thing that does not get old. No Matter How Many times You See It.
That's it. I'm done.
Stick a Fork in me.
Peace.

Mine would be more of a syfy-thriller about a man trying to escape a Testing Facility that does government experiments on mutants. I know it sounds like X-men Origins: Wolverine all over again, but not near the same plot sequences and characters. A lot more individuality then the mutants in the X-man series.

I have a lot of ideas for films I would like to create, but my dream project is an adaptation of the game No More Heroes. Reservations abound though, as so much of what makes the game brilliant is in the mechanics of play, and it would be hard to translate that faithfully onto film. To convey the same emotions that the player is intended to feel just based on how they interact with an environment when their means of interaction are practically non-existent would be so challenging, but I'm up to it, if someone actually felt like putting me in charge. Of course, I'd much rather leave it to Goichi Suda, the creator of the game.

It's weird and conflicting, because it is indeed the project I'd rather do than any other, but I think the original creator would be better suited...

I suppose if we're talking about stars, I may as well discuss that. Seeing as the voice of Travis Touchdown (the main character), Robin Atkin Downes, has experience in live action, it only seems right to cast him. But appearance-wise, Johnny Depp would be so perfect, but his actual, you know, acting has been hit and miss for a while now. I think he could really pull it off, though, if he really felt inspired by the project; I wouldn't want to force him if he wasn't feeling it. The rest of the characters . . . I'll get to some other time.

I have always thought Spawn deserved a good remake. The original was good, but , personally, was held back due to the special effects of its time, and if it were to get a remake, the visual display would be phenomenal, as long as the story along with it isn't total crap.
