It's a sad thing to be losing your faith.  I guess there are always times in our lives where we feel we can not handle what God has put before us, and though I fear sounding cliche, the best I can think to tell you... is that God will not put you through something you absolutely can not handle.  There may be a reason God is letting you endure something.... It is a very likely chance that you will meet someone not of faith going through the same things you did..... and you will be able to witness to them.

God doesn't always answer our prayers in a way we understand.  Even if it seems like He is not answering... don't quit.  I can tell you from personal experience that there was a time in my life (not too long ago), where I wanted nothing to do with God.  I purposefully avoided reading my bible, talking to Him, and doing the right things.  I wanted so badly to forget that the things I was doing were wrong, or that God was willing to be there for me.  However.... even though my heart did not desire prayer.... I prayed.  I said the words just so that they would be uttered from my mouth.  There was no heart in my prayers... just empty words.

God heard.  All that time when I thought He wasn't listening, He was.  He touched me after several weeks and months of this issue.... and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever gone through.  I can say that because of it, I fixed a lot of things in my life that were wrong.  Even if you feel like you're losing your faith... pray.  I don't care if any Christian hates post here and tell you to give up your faith.  Think of the things God has done for you.. the signs He has given you... the seeds He has planted and the people He has blessed around you.  Think on it, and pray.

I'm sorry that I didn't say anything about the song.  I do not know what you are referring to by 'the forest of denial' in the bible.  I also can not listen to the song right now, so it wouldn't be fair for me to give a response.

Sounds kind of gnostic to me.

For the song, in my opinion, the title seemed more like it was referring to some bit of Dante's Inferno/Divine Comedy. I don't exactly recall the actual name of the part, though, but if my memory serves correct, it features a forest in which one would get lost if they stray from the path of light, or something like that, Nya~.

As for your lack of faith: Do what you feel is right. That's all I'll say.
