I have a question.
If it is o.k. to ask this..
On a Radio Show in my local area it was reported that the entire Armed Services will be getting New uniforms due to the old ones not being effective at hiding it's wearer. (This was in July 2012.)
When do you think it will go into effect?
And do the new ones look like a pain to deal with?

I don't know if this has been asked yet but what is it like in the army like the training and the work I'm wondering because my older brother is joining the army.

Davideo7 : thing1 just got perma banned. So he can't own this forum anymore. I think it will go dead because most of the threads were created by thing1. Are you going to auction it off? If you do auction it will we be allowed to change the topic since the forum is pretty dead without thing1?

ProGamer135 : Basic Training is just that: The Basics. You learn to shoot your rifle. You learn how to set up your uniform. You learn the Basics. AIT is Advanced Individual Training. It is where you learn how to do your actual job in the Army.

Will your spine naturally heal, or will you need surgery? Hope not...

If you had a choice, would you leave the army? Would you rather have joined a different branch of the military?

EagleTsubasa : No, I did not always want to be in the Army. I wanted to go to school on a full academic scholarship. That was my goal. So, I busted my butt getting my 3.12 un weighted, 3.31 weighted GPA. About halfway through my Junior year (I graduated from high school a semester early), I had gotten very few offers, while my friends were getting a few nice ones, so I took the ASVAB. I had a recruiter talk to me, saying that I was one of the best prospects in the area. I told him I would keep my mind open. I decided to join when the best offer I had received by the time I graduated was a year all payed, but 3 years HAVING to be payed to UNC. I declined, and joined the Army.

Actually, I was looking at Air Force originally, but when I was looking at them, all promotions were on hold, so I went to the Army recruiter, since my father is in the Army.

My spine is O.K. It still hurts though.

mrfe : No... my spine will not naturally heal. Any damage is not repairable. It can only get worse. I have asked if surgery was a possibility, and it is not. The doctor said it is structural damage... non-repairable.

I want to stay in, and do my 3 years, and get out, but it does not seem like that is possible. More information as I find out, as I have to go talk to somebody later this week to find that information out.  

No... I am happy with the branch of armed forces that I picked.

Forum games... I do not know. Play4fun has his Bible trivia, as you know, and leggy was thinking about doing Summer Camp again, until he left. Maybe I might do something, dealing with the Army. We will see. I do not know. I am open to suggestions though. There is a thread somewhere in this forum for suggestions, I believe.
