Hello, theEagle123 here with a new poll and this one gonna get nostalgic. What was the first game you ever played, EVER? I've wanted to put this one up for some time but haven't had the time to do it, but now that I do have time I'm giddy to see what kind of games got my fellow Vizzed users hooked on video games. But before you go crying nostalgic tears on your keyboard I DO have a few rules as always:
1. Please tell the full title of the game, what system it is for, and the date it came out.
2. Explain why this game (If it did,) got you hooked on video games. If not, explain why also.
3. Uhh......... I really don't have anything else so.... rule 3 is....... eat.... cake.

Well, considering it hasn't been closed down for being a dupe yet (though I recall posting about this before)...

My first game was Super Mario Bros 3, Nya~. My dad still had an NES when I was only a fear years old, and I got to play that quite often, along with other games he had for it. I even managed to get to world 8 at around 5 years old, actually, even without the whistles.

My second game was Sonic the Hedgehog, though. We also had a Genesis with only the first Sonic game, and I loved it more than Mario Bros 3, despite the effort put into trying to beat it, Nya~.

I really had to think this one through but I belive the game was Asteroids. I am not totally sure but it is the first game ever I have any kinda recollection of. It was for the Atari ST and the year was maybe 1985, 1986 or something like that. The game though is older than that and you can read about it here:

I think it was Super Mario Bros. on the NES. It hooked me because...I really don't know why. I guess I just loved the concept of games. I distinctly remember my brother calling me a "Mario-aholic", followed by a four year old me, whining "mooooom, he said I was a Mario-aholic". I've no idea why that upset me. The games that really drove a deep love of gaming in me were Super Mario bros. 2 (U.S.), Pro Wrestling, and some TMNT game I played. They were all NES games as well.

Gosh, I have the strongest urge to go play that TMNT game now. lol I'll have to add it to my game profile.
