There's a lot of great retro RPG's on the board, try reading some of my reviews. Or just check out the RPG category. 

I don't think Pokemon is an RPG, I'm sorry. But any of the Final Fantasies, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound...there's a lot to choose from.

There's the standard Retro Game Search Engine you can try clicking on but it is odd if you are unfamiliar with how to use it.

Try Clicking on the names of the people who post and check out the "Game Profile".
If you see familiar Hits that you played, and you stumble on something you have yet to try???
Click on it and enjoy.

Other than that, the Reviews section that was mentioned by another person earlier is a great Idea to try if you are an extremely "Picky" gamer.

Judging from your Birth Year and Preference to F.P.S. or R.P.G. I suggest using the Retro Game Rooms Search Engine and Clicking on the S.N.E.S.,, the Genisis,, the 32.X.,, the Sega C.D.,,the N.64.,, and see what comes up. Then click the F.P.S. Icon or R.P.G. Icon and flip through the pages at the bottom of the screen.

If Graphics are your major Weakness??? Then Do All the Above Stated with one difference.
Click the Arcade Mame check box. Though I do have to recomend only clicking on the games that have a Picture and Description and Review if this is your first Visit. or Search.
Some of the Arcade Mames are not functioning well and you can loose valuable Vizz Points.
I Try to search around on days I'm just board and Leave a comment if it does not function in the comments section at the bottom of the games page.
BUT I only have so many hours of free time to "Channel Surf". There are Thousands of Mames.
