Title says it all folks.

I joinned that We the People website that allows you to create your own petitions. And so I created my own petition to the government. Basically here is what my petition is about.

"Pass a law requiring all American companies who have oversea facilities to disband their oversea facilities first before they can close down American facilities."

Well it turns out in order for my petition to be viewable on the website I need 150 signatures. Also I don't expect much of it as I need 100,000 signatures for a White House response (up from 25,000).

So anyone know any good tips on how I can get some signatures? (I think I would need permission to post the link to my petition).

Also if this is in the wrong place, please move it as I could use the advice.

I think it might fit better in the Web Splurge forum, but it's fine here as long as you're open to having debates and discussions about it. If you just want to share the petition, though, I can move it for you. Just let me know.

I should warn you folks to you must register in order to sign my petition.

Also I saw some interesting petitions on there. I think what saddens me is if I might get beat out by the "Executive Order to give back the New Orlean Saints second round pick" petition =(

I dont think that the government would interfere like that, they arent supposed to interfere with buissiness.
I do agree its unfair they take your money through buissines yet give all the work to cheap foreign labour.

1.Define "facilitys"
If say, theres a company that produces in europe to sell to europe, thats more economical than sending the gear all the way from america, and the profits are taxed coming into the usa.
Or are we talking facilitys as in, producing stuff abroad for sale in the usa?
2.If such a law was passed, the companys would probably move there hq to canada or europe to avoid the law.

Incidentaly, do they have to dispose of all these facilities before those in the usa?

Its also a double edged sword, theyd pass the costs over to the consumer, aka you
