Lazlo Falconi brought me here just a few short days after he joined. I saw him on here and was intrigued because I had never seen an ACMLM board before, and it looked super complicated. He had bought me my own laptop a couple months previous for an early Xmas gift so we no longer shared a computer. Unfortunately, I had nothing to do. The last couple years have been pretty bumpy for us and we live far away from our friends and family due to Lazlo's occupation, so we live a pretty stressful and lonely lifestyle. I've lost a lot of my internet buddies over the years and my friends back home are in college or a parent, so communication with friends was at an all time low for me, as I've usually had a pretty huge support system at any given time. So when I saw him on Vizzed, I creeped around and watched him post, and asked a lot of questions about the TdV (I still don't remember what all the jersey colors mean) and was just generally interested that he had found a forum to participate again (we've had some real forum homes in the past and we tend to be pretty fickle about the communities we bro out in). Eventually he told me to just join instead of badgering him and lurking over his shoulder when he was hanging out on here. So I did.

Let me tell ya, I've been to a lot of choice forums, and Vizzed is pretty sweet. The majority of the community is composed of really cool and kind people, and it's definitely one of the most welcoming and accepting crowds I've had the pleasure of stumbling across. I've made a lot of awesome friends here who I hope very much to keep for many years to come. It's always exciting to log into Vizzed and see if someone talked to me, or if someone needs my help for something. There's a lot of silly stuff that goes on on Vizzed that people complain about, like spammers, the younger members, etc, but at the end of the day it's pretty obvious that the core of this forum is awesome and deserves the attention it gets. This is a fun place to be, and there's always a lot to read and a lot of people worth knowing.

It was great to become a mod, and it wasn't really all that expected. A lot of people, especially people in charge, disliked me because I tended to be rather blunt and joked around a lot in chat. And granted, there were some feelings I hurt along the way, which hopefully have been long since forgotten/forgiven. But, there were a lot of people who believed in my ability to help improve the site, to keep things peaceful, and to help users who needed it. So to my friends, thanks for encouraging me to apply. I enjoy being a part of Vizzed; it's nice to have something worthwhile to do when I have downtime. It's really nice to be able to get my mind off all the stuff that's always going on, and to be able to help the community and get to know you guys better has made it a really awesome experience.

Becoming Global was unexpected, and it was unfortunately followed closely by losing Leggy and rcarter as Globals, but I think that this new year on Vizzed is going to be something special. There's been a big turnover in staff but with the new addition of Pacman, I'm confident that he, Lazlo, and the great tRIUNE will keep this place fun, clean, and a wonderful place to keep coming back to day after day. It's been an honor and a privilege working beside them. Not to mention the mods... you can wander the internet for years and not find a staff as awesome, helpful, and productive as these guys. Vizzed mods, I love you guys, you make this job worth it. You're amazing and I can't think of a better group of people who deserve the position than you guys. Not even Global necessarily, just being staff in general. Also, a big thank you to the Vizzed staff, which are pretty much the moving force behind the site. Mods are the blood of the forum, but staff will always be what keeps the site awesome. You guys donate a lot of your time and energy to this place, and it's noticed and appreciated. You rock.

And then, the members. The amount of people who come here, from all places and walks of life, is simply astounding. There's never a dull moment on Vizzed with this many awesome people here. You guys make great threads, say awesome things, and are endlessly supportive of David, the site, and (usually) the staff. Without you guys, none of this would be possible. It's definitely an adventure frequenting the same forum as a lot of the regulars here, and there's a lot of lemons in the mixture, but that's the spice of life. Not that lemon is a spice... you guys know what I mean. Anyway, thank you guys for being great. You have given me endless amounts of things to do, and beings as my life is pretty boring right now, I appreciate it greatly!

So that's that. I'll miss being a Global here, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Its been great having you around, and getting to know you and Lazlo over the year. It was because of those chats, that it was easy to have faith in you to not only be a mod, but a global as well. It was tough to leave and not entirely my choice, and I miss working with you guys.

But not just you, the rest of the forum staff too. Like you said, they really make it worth it, and make the job of being a mod less of a chore, ans much more of a hobby.

Well, been a whole year kage, quite a nice accomplishment since most users these days don't stay for a whole year. Before leaving off from this thread, gonna tell ya this... "`Ey Gurl!"

Yeowch. Rereading my post today was pretty painful. I wrote it at 2 in the morning right before I deemed myself too sleepy to be online anymore. That is a crapstorm of grammatical errors and run on sentences.

Also the "Not even Global necessarily, just staff in general" bit made me laugh, as it's easily misinterpreted as meaning I don't think staff deserve Global or something. I meant you guys make my job rock. Not my Global job specifically, but my position on Vizzed staff in general, haha.

I would eat it until I couldn't eat anymore, and then I would continue to eat it while crying on my couch from guilt and over-indulgence until my stomach ruptured. And then I'd probably still eat it.

As for your comment on being a more strict, no-nonsense dictator type. You do your job just find in my opinion. And besides its other peoples opinion, you can't please anyone. You do your duty for what is best for Vizzed and that is all that we ask/expect from you.

I have to admit, KG... you actually had me going there... but something stuck out as very unusual... this whole time, you were reflecting on your time at the site and how great the staff is and this and that... but not once did you give an actual reason for supposedly leaving. I kept waiting for it... but there never really came that "but sadly, I must go for such and such reason" closeout message... so I was just left there hanging... confused... and then I read that it was a hoax and suddenly, it all made sense.

KG : I'm so used to these type of threads that I don't believe them anymore... 

Plus it's more of an unwritten rule that anyone in power tends not to make a big deal of stepping down or leaving... Whist regular members let their ego's explode and then write a long post that will inevitably get closed.. And then they return a day later and complain lol... 

Anyways congrats.. I'm not sure if I made a one year anniversary post.. But I'm pretty close to my 3 year anniversary ... I'm too old...

I'll admit I fell for your trick. While it is true that your bluntness can be problematic, that doesn't outweigh your awesomeness or your dedication to Vizzed. I'm glad to have yuo with us, Kage.
