As posted in my thread about Zelda on the Wii U, when a new system comes out everyone is looking for the Zeldas, metroids, marios, and super smash brothers. The new super smash brothers is now under development since the developers stated that when the newest Kid Icarus was done, they would begin working on super smash brothers.The next super smash brothers interests me to no end, and unlike the new Zelda, I'm very excited to see what Nintendo will do with this game, and there are many topics to cover.

What characters will be in the game? Many believe that if Nintendo were to get more third party characters, that that would destroy the entire idea of super smash brothers, and it is meant to be Nintendo characters killing each other for our enjoyment, while as in most cases some people say "who cares?" Who do you think will be in the game? Post it here.

What will the game engine be? Some of you know how much I despised super smash brothers brawl, not because it was a bad game, I had a lot of fun playing it, but because it differed from the masterpiece of melee in so many ways. This is kind of a Zelda 2 situation, but I don't want you guys to think I don't like that game just because its different. I'm off topic though, and like in Zelda games, where people wonder about the sadness or darkness of the story line, I wonder what game engine it will use. Post what you think in the comments, and please don't make an "Aw man, you didn't like brawl?" "I don't blame him man, I hated brawl" "Yeah well, *&^$*($&*)(*@#&$*)@*$&)@" because I don't want this thread to become a you tube comment section.

Oh a super smash bros thread.

Iam really excited about it it's getting closer and closer to its release date since the new kid Icarus has been out for almost a year now I enjoy the super smash bros series

earthwarrior : I believe they will make one for the 3DS also, but I don't know how different it will be for the one on the Wii-U. But I think that with Capcom characters, it will be less fun when those characters are being used, but it will be great. And I still don't see what is wrong with the Wii-U.  It improves the Wii 100%, and more, because Wiimotes can still be used. And I hope that the WiFi works better in this one.

Iam glad wii remotes still can be used so I didn't waste money anyways back on topic super smash bros brawl connection to the Internet was horrible it always disconnected me after one match so I hope they improve on wifi as well

austipokedude : that was a misunderstanding, they are making it a multi platform game, on the 3ds and Wii U. And i have just read that it will be released (im cringing as i type this)... in 2014, As super smash brothers Wii U (a working title im sure)

Odd flames : As I posted recently, the game is to be released in 2014.

Although Super Smash Bros is a great series of games, they have grown kinda stale to me. Not a whole lot has changed over the years for me to get really charged about it. Although one HUGE thing they need to do on the next installment is improve the online play aspect. IF that is much improved then I will actually be interested in picking it up new.

I don't see why it's a big deal if they used some Capcom or heck, even some classic Konami characters. Adding people like Mega Man or the brothers from Contra would be pretty cool. Honestly adding to the roster only helps the replay aspect of the game for me. As long as they keep them "Classic" characters that everyone remembers, I don't see them harm in it.

I would love to see banjo and kazooie in it as well maybe they can do swapping like Zelda turns to sheik that would be cool

I would love for them to bring back some characters such as young link and mewtwo

I'd love a Wii U Smash Bros game, honestly. Smash Bros is really one of the few fighting games I'm really good at, and as such, one of my favorites. 2014 seems like a bit too long of a wait, honestly, but if it means it'll be great, then I won't mind. I also don't mind having many third party characters as well, as long as they can balance it out with more Nintendo characters as well. I honestly don't care about the 3DS version at the moment, being I don't have one, and I can always use GamePad Mode on the Wii U if I just want it to be portable, Nya~.

austipokedude : Not Young Link as I think it should be an unlockable option to turn Link into Young Link (similar with Pichu for Pikachu, Dr. Mario with Mario, etc). Bringing back Mewtwo would be good as he played similar to Samus. Also they need to bring back Roy.

ender44 : Tails I don't think would be a good option, either Knuckles or Shadow would be good (although they could always have a Shadow skin for Sonic).

I don't believe that they can do Banjo and Kazooie as they are currently owned by Microsoft (so Nintendo would have to pay Microsoft money to use Banjo Kazooie).

Jordanv78 : Non of the Marios as they already have enough Mario characters. Also a no to Slippy Toad as we already have Fox, Falco, and Wolf. I wouldn't mind Birdo as she can play similar to Yoshie, King Hippo would be unique, and Mega Man would be a definite yes.

If they do add those characters then they can get rid of Pokemon Trainer, Zero Suit Samus (just add it as an unlockable skin), and Toon Link (again another unlockable character).
