The NFL is in the playoffs and the Super Bowl will be soon so I figured this would be the perfect time to hold a Tecmo Super Bowl Netplay Tournament. We'll be playing the Tecmo Super Bowl 2013 (TecmoBowl.org hack) version of the game.

Each user will play 4 games of "regular" season and the teams with the best record will advance to a playoffs. Depending on how many people enter this tournament, the playoffs will be 3-5 games. When 2 users are paired up to play against each other, they have 2 days to play against each other.

If this tournament goes well, than I'll make it a habit of holding a netplay tournament every month and various games.


Requirements:
-You must live in the United States (unless you've have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users)
-The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer, especially for NES and Netplay games (since that's what we'll be using)


Prizes:
1st = 10,000 Viz
2nd = 2,500 Viz
3rd = 1,000 Viz


If you want to enter, simply respond to this thread saying that you want to enter. The tournament will most likely begin next Monday.

Davideo7 : I can't wait. I'm totally in for this tournament. The rules sound pretty good too.

Any idea on a tentative date on when you were thinking of starting this tourney? I know its hard to set things in stone not knowing who all will compete but at least if I had a rough idea I could make sure I had free time to compete.

Yea, I'm totally in for the Netplay tournament! I've been waiting for this time to come for a long time!

I live in Brazil, but Netplay with NES games works the best with me, so that will do in my opinion, but it's your choice if you will let me compete or not, if it happens for me to make the tournament bad due to the lag, I can just get disqualified.

Maybe a hockey tournament next perhaps? since the lockout is over.

and for future reference, yes I have no problems with the US server, although it gives quite a few people the timeout error.
