earthwarrior : That sounds like a good idea, but if one of the mods were somewhere that they couldn't access Vizzed, then that forum could be spammed like crazy. But maybe something like the mods having one main forum, and one that they also moderate, but almost like they are the second mod, that might work.

It doesn't really help that there's now only 3 Globals and most of us are still shaking off the Holiday Hangover if you know what I mean. Still, there isn't much excuses we can work off of. Yeah, its going to be one of those months that just spam everywhere. Just like last month's VCS.

I would like to suggest that you post a comprehensive, easily-found spam notice as well. I've found a couple of different references to it, but nothing really in-depth. Sandwhich posting, Necro-posting...to people who are new to the boards, these terms are totally unfamiliar. Most of the time, I see spam mentioned (briefly) as "Spam is short meaningless posts or making multiple repetitive posts" (from the Newbie help sticky post). That really doesn't cover it very well. And then once you have this notice, the mods need to be more aggressive.

I would also like to ask why the mods are so quick to close new threads, but leave posts that are two or more months old just lying there, open and easily abused. A lot of the spam going on right now is people dredging up threads started way back in November for threads to post in. Is that spam? I think so, but maybe I'm wrong.
