Only problem is that we have no idea who is winning. But on the other hand, that might make it a whole lot more interesting. People won't give up because someone submitted a time they know they can't beat. We might actually get more submissions that way.

Great choice of games. One of my favorites. Honestly I haven't played through the entire thing for a number of years. It's gonna take some practice to get through it all with a decent time.

For reference, the world record at Speed Demos Archive is 10:59, and it should be noted that their timing is from when you can first control Mario up until the moment you beat Bowser, unlike our timing here, which is from booting up the game until the end of the credits (which are about 5 minutes in and of themselves), so ultimately a time matching the world record on vizzed would be around 15 or 16 minutes.

A time faster than the world record by 5 minutes is absolutely ludicrous. Either there is an exploit in the emulator, or the timer got screwy.

Davideo7 : Hmm well, there is a glitch in the Yoshi's Island 3 level where you can get Yoshi to "eat nothing" to manipulate the memory and code into bringing up the ending screen. I didn't think it could be done non tool-assisted though. It seems to require very precise actions.

Based on my knowledge of older games and what it would take to do something like this it seems like it is some sort of plugin assisted/injected time or some sort of other memory manipulator.

Cheat Engine is one that is going around but there are several of them that could be used.

As for the file size of those videos, I would just try and advertise freemake video converter more which greatly reduces the file size of the videos.
