Well some people don't have the same taste as you so maybe it just isn't meant for him or you can just keep trying games tell he finds one he likes or maybe he just doesn't like being low level maybe give him a experience where he is high level i know i didn't like being low leveled but it was fun high leveled

Ooh hard to say. I loved it from my first exposure to it, though prior to giving it a chance, I thought it was stupid. I tend to think that way about things that get alot of hype. I just build up a dislike for them. Like CoD and Halo. Never touched them, but always hated them. Though now that I have actually spoken with a fan of the CoD games and heard what he had to say, I probably will try it one day.

i think some one would like pokemon because it is fun to raise these creatures to there best ability and to take them to battle to show you are the best of the best finally it has rpg elements and can get fans of this genre to come over to like it very easily

A good way to get someone to like a game more is to outline everything that makes it better than many other games of the same genre. With Pokemon that would be the battles and trading. Perhaps showing the less childish features of the games. Not the easiest things to find, but Black and White have a much more mature tone about them.

I agree with getting him interested in Anime first, then letting him play a bit on his own and introduce him to the idea of collecting the pokemon. Find one he really likes, then show him you can capture that one and many others in the game.

Show how to train Pokémon and teach them good moves. Also maybe show him the tv show as well so he can interested before playing any of the games. Talk about the elite 4, cool strong Pokémon with evolutions. Basically try to hook him in and then get into all of the specific stuff that is essential to becoming a good Pokémon trainer, talk about how each game leaves you with tons of stuff to do with your Pokémon and all of the cool places you can explore.
