I personally like Yellow the best. I just love Pikachu; I like electricity a lot in general and it was rather different from any of the other games, because I think it's the only game so far that gave you a starter that wasn't grass, fire, or water.

Although, what I think is the best DESIGNED, I would have to go for Heart Gold (And/Or Soul Silver). The remixed music they did is just awesome, and it's got so many features to let you play the game even after you have beaten it.

And again; the music! That Kanto wild encounter music actually makes running into level 6 Zubats FUN.

I'd say Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the best because Crystal was my favorite before they came out. But when they remade the game, they added in a ton of cool elements. For example, they added the Pokeathalon, and that was one of my favorite features in all the DS games. Plus, they threw the storyline of Crystal into both games.

man i wish we could vote twice. its a tie between emerald hg n ss. i dont care about crappy graphics. its all about catching em all! lol. the reason i like hg/ss is because the pokemon are out with you and you can talk to them just like in one of my other favorites, pokemon yellow(this black n white lack), then there's the pokeathalon which is so fun(b/w lack this as well), the in both hg/ss and pokemon emerald there's the pokegear, which allows you to talk to people you've battled and re-battle them(b/w lacks this as well). when i see all the things b/w lacks from these, it makes me sad i cant have those features. i will have to play crystal and see what all the hub bub is about.
