I hate it. Windows took modern too far, that is why I down graded back to windows 7. Windows is great, it is all I really want on a desktop not all of this colorful junk. Windows 8 is just spammed with adverts, does anyone really want to see adverts on their desktop? They do not need adverts, they are one of the biggest companys in the world. Advertisements just make the very greedy!!

It just seems like they are trying to make the laptops transfer to a touch screen device. While I understand that touch screens are a big deal, they have enough disadvantages for me in a daily setting that I can't stand when I go on my laptop and have to think of it as a tablet. If I wanted something to run like that, I would have asked for my grad present to be a tablet instead of a laptop.

I haven't really tried out Windows 8 quite yet, but I think based on the looks of it on ads, I don't think I'll be too interested in using Windows 8, so pretty much I'm going to stick with the Windows 7 for a little while.

I am currently using a Windows 8 computer. I really like how fast and fluid everything is, but something just feels wrong. After thinking about it for a long time, I've finally figured it out. Windows 8 feels like it's built completely around touch screen controls and all that, which is why  it definitely feels like something is missing if you don't have a touch screen, which happens to be my case.

Well, I currently have a windows 8 laptop and I use it. Its honestly not that bad in my opinion but if its the first time you use it, it might take some getting used to but after sometime, you will get used to the metro start screen.

I haven't tried Windows 8 yet, but from what I've seen I don't like it. It's designed more for tablets and smartphones, which I don't really like. Having a more touch-oriented operating system doesn't work well for desktops and laptops because not all screens can support touch input. So no, I don't like Windows 8 at all.

I love my Windows 8. On a tablet, it works amazingly well. I have all the apps on one screen and the desktop is easily accessible. Apps like the Nook for PC app basically run like an emulator and the screen looks just like a nook. I like this version better than any I have ever used before.

I got a window 8 laptop less than a year ago and I guess I would say that I really love it but it gives certain problems that drive me crazy like the zoom in and zoom out on pages because of my mouse pad.. I am about to buy a wireless mouse and up in the upper left corner it switches pages when it feels like. Overall I really enjoy windows 8 but I wish they wouldn't of put some of these features that I have problems with.

I don't particularly like Windows 8. I currently have the Operating System of Windows 7 Home Premium, and it works wonders for me. I tried Windows 8 (my mom's laptop), and it just doesn't appeal to me.

Never owned one. I tried it before and I thought it was good. But wasn't the best.

I've had my Windows 8 laptop for about a year now.
Windows 8 sure has it's ups and downs.  The thing I find best about it is that you can do split screen, so like Skype and Desktop.  It is definitely completely different from any of the other operating systems, that's for sure.

I cannot STAND Windows 8. When I bought my gaming laptop, I purposely sought out one with Windows 7 on it. It wasn't easy as 8 was becoming predominant at the time, but I finally got my MSi, loaded with Windows 7 at a GREAT closeout deal.
