What do you think? I think it won't happen on 21. I mean, look at this guy...Harold camping. He predicted the world will end on may 21, 2011...And look where we are now. 12/13/2012. Even though the mayan calender would end on december 21, I think it's all a lie!! Besides, On the bible it clearly states that no one knows the day, nor hour!

No, I don't think it will happen. The hype is uninformed in my opinion. I could be wrong, but as far as I know, the Mayans never actually said the world would end on that day (and they couldn't have known anyway), but rather they just quit making weather predictions after that day. The question is, why?
First, they may have stopped because they were already hundreds of years ahead in their predictions, and saw no reason to continue.
Or perhaps they were destroyed before they could go any further.
Or perhaps most likely is that they (as are our scientists) were baffled at the thought of the planets aligning, and had no idea what would happen, as they had never known of it happening before. All science is based in knowledge, and knowledge is based on experience, so logically, they could not read something from such an unknown occurrence. The latter is honestly my opinion.

And if someone does predict the end, don't believe them. The Bible plainly said these things would be said in the last days, and that they would be lies.

The reason why they say the world would end is because that's when the Mayan calendar end but in my option I think the Mayans wherent done with it.

Well I must say that I was slightly off on the statement, and context, though the idea seems to be much the same. Here is the passage I was referring to: Matthew 24:23-27 (KJV) "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, behold, He is in the desert; go not forth: behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the son of man be.

I feel that this may be a better reference, though it doesn't say plainly what I referenced it as saying.

Matthew 24:36-39 (Also KJV) "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be"

It does say that no one would know the day or hour, so anyone who claims to, would be wrong. Still, not what I said to a T. My apologies. Thank you for asking, as I would hate to misinform on what a scripture said.

The Mayans were masters of math and astronomy whatever happens on the 21st will most likely be an astronomical event. Who knows whether it'll be catastrophic or just a brilliant display of the universe's beauty.

Imagine if the Mayans where still around I think they'd be still working on that calendar forever.

We can't never know so all we can do is wait.
