So, ever since yesterday, it's nearly impossible for me to load ANY page on vizzed.  I've noticed that some ads (such as the smoky bear ad) also seem to extend beyond their assigned space, covering links and just.... looking ugly.

I've never had this issue with vizzed before, so I decided to clear out my cache and cookies.  Still, the pages would not load.  I would sometimes wait for 3-6 minutes, and sometimes the page just wouldn't load.  I'd have to refresh the page over and over and over again, or restart the browser.

I even restarted my laptop, using a hard re-boot.

Still...... issues with loading vizzed.  By this point, I'm fairly certain it's not my computer, as all other sites load just fine.  I decided therefore, to put up an ad blocker today, just to see what would happen.

Whammo!  Vizzed loads lightning fast without a single glitch.

Is anyone else having this problem?  I guess my main question is,
Davideo7 :
Did you start using a new set of ads yesterday, or is there one new ad doing this?  I guess if I'm the only one with this problem, then it's no important.

I personally haven't been getting these problems, but that's just based on the fact I have Ad Block on 24/7, even on Incognito windows (NOT THAT I WOULD NEED TO USE THEM OR ANYTHING, COUGH ).

I'd recommend keeping adBlock in place until it's figured out, honestly.

By the way, which browser do you use? It might be dependent on that, Nya~.

I asked for it. This is what I wanted.

At first I read that you weren't having the problems.... only to then realize you already had an ad blocker up..... ^.^  LOL!  I never installed one just because ads have never bothered me.  In all eight years of owning my own computer, I was never bothered by ads.  That's how bad the lag here on vizzed was.

I do still have the ad blocker up though... I suffered all day yesterday with the incredible lag and didn't want to do so again today.

As for browsers, I'm using Chrome, the same as I was using before.

Yeah I've been having this problem for the past 2 days as well. I haven't had the problem today though. Has anyone else had the problem today?

If the problem continues, I'll try to work with the ad companies to figure out the problem.

To answer your question, no I didn't switch to a different ad company but I will be switching one of my ad companies sometime soon.

I never had a problem on the computer but on my iphone the ad prevented me from scrolling down and the thing to close it only popped up every other time, forcing me to close the vizzed tab and reopen it, which I have no problem doing but it just seems like something I should point out.

Davideo7 : Actually, I didn't think about it, but I don't believe my work computer has ANY kind of ad blocker, and no, vizzed had no loading issues here at the school.  When I get home I'll try disabling the ad blocker on my netbook and testing how the site loads.  When I do that, I'll let you know.

EDIT:  Disabled the ad blocker, and I don't seem to be having any issues tonight.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
