Mudkip all the way... They are like woopers with arms. They are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy. Mudkips also have really good stats and its typing is one of the best in the game besides like magnezone... or dialga. I love Pokémon.

I chose Torchic! I just really love fire-type Pokémon. I once started over my Pokémon Silver file with Totodile, but I really disliked the beginning experience. It just felt wrong.  Currently playing Pokémon Emerald right now, and loving its moves at this point (Level 13).

I picked Torchic, but Mudkip was a close second. As for why I didn't pick Treecko or whatever the heck it's name is, I'm not a fan of a Grass Pokémon when it comes to a starter Pokémon. I have no logical reason why that is so....

I cheated, i got torchic first but having 2 DS's i traded him to another game and restarted then chose treeko, then repeated the step and chose mudkip then played the game through with all three. I thought it was clever and it helped with many gyms having all three types.

It was always torchic because it was strong and fast and knew fighting but it wasn't until I went onto Vizzed and talked to people that I knew that it's also weak to a lot of things. Now I pick Mudkip because it's only weak to grass moves.

I chose treecko for emerald because I thought grovyle looked like a badass and I didn't care about stats and such at the time, if a pokemon looked cool I would get it, if I played it again I would maybe pick mudkip as he was my second choice of the three but I would still most likely choose treecko.
