How can I retrieve my saved data on Pokemon Fire Red? I cleared my history one day and then when I tried loading my saved data, it was gone.

Is there a way to save an individual game onto a flash drive and put it on another computer or play it from the flash drive?

danniross : This will depend on which emulator: 1964 doesn't support save states, but Mupen64Plus does.

Feely82 : We might be having problems with saves for SNES with the Java emulator, sorry - hopefully that can be resolved.

annikaprue : If you saved while playing the game with one of the Java emulators, there's a chance that the save was lost - that's not my jurisdiction, sorry. In other words, the RGR Plugin will save files to your computer and Java will still save to Vizzed server - which I have limited access to.

Leemike : You can. You'll find the save files on your computer if they were saved with the RGR Plugin.

You can access your save files 2 ways from your plugin data folder:

#1 Go to Start Menu -> All Programs -> Vizzed Retro Game Room -> Open Plugin Data Folder -> User-216487. Then find the game system folder for the game you want the save file.

#2 Go to C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-216487

Some times my save states don't work on some games like Mario 64

ive been having problems recently with the save state function when i start playing new games

kapperbeast : Could you be a little more specific? what games are you having issues with? Is this happening for more than one System? Are you using a different browser than you were using before? What exactly happens when you try to save?

Hi how can I can change save state? I try pressing 1-9 but it won't worked. Currently I can only use state 0.

First time poster, but first of all, thank you guys again for this site, it really is brilliant.
I have an issue with the save file in Pokémon Flora Sky - again a brilliant game, and well done to Sky for making it. I normally use the F2 save method, which works perfectly, and therefore I rarely use the start menu save method. However, upon beating the league, I'm taken back to the home screen, and normally the only option to get back into the game is by loading a save generated automatically by the game, and therefore not an internal F2 save.
When I load the homepage, I encounter an error saying that the same save file is corrupted, and that the clock has reset. The only option it gives me to go back to the game is to click New Game, which I seriously don't want to do due to the unthinkable amount of time I've already sank into the game.
I know I can manually the save through the RGR plugin programme, but don't know which save file it is, nor do I know how to open it within the programme.

windyridge4 : There is no way for the Rom file to read your save state. The in game saves and the Save states are two different things.

The save state is generated by the emulator, the in-game save is a completely different format created by the Rom itself.

The file is corrupt message I believe is a bug in the hack that you are playing.

luigisam739 : I am confused about what you are referring to.

You can save/load using the RGR plugin by pressing F2 to save and F4 to load.

The Java emulators are totally different. Those require you to save in-game. If that is not working then it probably has something to do with your cookie settings in your browser on that computer.

You cannot use save states with the Java emulator, or take save states you have taken with the RGR plugin and import them into the Java emulators.

So...I was going to come on here and basically complain about how I couldn't save on Pokemon Emerald..but in a preemptive strike (that actually wasn't preemptive..as it wasn't addressed to me) tRUINE has saved the day.

devonm13 : Change your post layout. That is awful. Your picture is much too big.

The problem sometimes, is that when I open the game and save the state by mistake. There should be another way to load previous saves if possible.

Question... so, I'm not sure if this was already made clear or not... but I play using the JAVAboy emulator thing on here.

So, how exactly do I retrieve my saves on here using that and not the NEScafe or the other plugins?

Hi I have a problem when using save state with C64 games. When I hit F2 to save my game my game immediately slows down then eventually crashes. This only occurs with C64 games. I've tried 3 or 4 C64 games with the same outcome. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I'm adding a new problem and it is my input menu options don't all function properly like the run/stop input especially since I need that to start certain games even when I map it to another button it still doesn't work and another thing I can't map my d-pad on my xbox 360 controller to any of these C64 games.

As it was the same with Dragon Quest 6, I can't properly play Shining Force CD. Only start and the directional pad work.

And a little off topic, but I bought the V machine (before accidentally selling it), which is supposed to let me play every game for free. But I couldn't play Shining Force CD because of a lack of Viz...

Davideo7 : I've been having issues with saving the game inside any game platform I choose that supports save states. For some odd reason, my computer will NOT open the Save States file at all, so I cannot save, or load. Is this a common problem with Laptops, or is there another way to save in GBA games without using the save states?
