Benefits:
-Netplay would be faster and less laggy for you and those who play with you
-Netplay would be faster and less laggy for people who play that live near you
-If it goes well, I'd pay you Viz and/or give you a staff position

Requirements:
-Must be a Trusted user or have at least 100 posts and have been a member for at least a year
-Must be willing to leave your computer on overnight (only if you want your server to be a permanent server)

How resource intensive is this?  I want to make sure my computer would be able to handle any strain it might cause, and I know little about using a computer as a server for a website.

I'm with Singelli here. I wouldn't mind it, but I need spec requirements. I have this laptop, which is 8gb RAM, Quad-Core, 750GB HD. Supposedly, I've got another one enroute (from a friend) that is 32GB RAM, 1.5TB HD, and Quad-Core (Alienware).

Sadly, the specs on that computer aren't nearly as good as Ktanaqui's. 2GB RAM, 250GB HD space, and it's been around since Windows XP, but it's the best I got. I actually use my laptop (which has the same RAM and HD space, but a better video card) for school and other things, so I wouldn't be able to make it a dedi.

Well it does make your computer vulnerable since you gotta make adjustments to your firewall.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
