Digimon all the WAY!!

Everything about Digimon I love more then Pokemon. :3

Digimon is just the better show better story, better characters,
way better villians such as Myotismon Lucemon Machinedramon MaloMyotismon.

Im not insulting Pokemon but Digimon has got to go down as my favorite cartoon of all time.

Digimon, because they have multiple evolutions, can devolve, and can talk. The fact that everything is prefaced with "digi-" is annoying, though

yea i would have to go with digimon. because the show always seemd a bit more better then pokemon, plus i did always like the fact that there were way more stages with ur digimon then pokemon.

i have to agree with some of the other posts. Pokemon by far has greater games. I have been hooked on them since they first came out. I even had pokemon birthday parties. Digimon had a better cartoon though. Even though i woke up at 6 in the morning to watch pokemon on saturdays when i was 10, i would get up at 6 in the morning on school days when i was 13 to watch digimon. i dont really like to say that one is better than the other. They each have their flaws but they each have there good qualities as well.

I pick both. Goods about Pokemon: can be contained in a pokeball, can be caught, stays in their evolved form until reached the right level to evolve and/or reached their last evolved form. Bads: can't de-evolve hard to understand their language, less evolved stages, and can die. goods about Digimon: can de-evolve, immortal, more evolvoltion stages, can speak human language, and can be pets.Bads: their names end with -mon, can't be contained has to be carried around, and no elemental types.

I liked the Digimon shows way more than the Pokemon shows (which in my opinion weren't all that great ), but pokemon had the better games. I'd like to see a little pokemon go up against a Skullgreymon LOL ...patent pending.

I haven't really seen anything about Digimon that would cause me to like it more than Pokemon... seriously, pokemon are more original, at least with the names, their games are way more fun, and they are actually alive in the games/anime. Digimon are computer programs. How dull .

Plus, from a Christian perspective, pokemon is better because they don't promote evolution. They may say that the pokemon are evolving, but they're really more maturing, when they have babies they revert back to their starting forms, etc. Digimon had a "digidex" (or whatever it's called) entry calling one digimon the "missing link" (WTH?! They're computer programs, and they somehow support evolution?!).

Actually thats more along the lines of AI and true AI actually do "evolve" in a way.

That's seriously what it said, but I can't give an actual quote because I don't have the game anymore (not just for that reason, but because it was horrible... Digimon World Championship on DS, I couldn't stand it. Got me 7 dollars at GameStop ).

Ill go with pokemon , but Digimon has some advantages like 2 digimon can fuse together to be 1 ultra cool digimon and they can go back to its 1st form, not like pokemon

for pokemon i wish they have a panda pokemon the next gen.

First,Bubbes, there is a panda Pokemon and that Pokemon would be Spinda from the third generation.Also,I'd go with Pokemon as Digimon never caught my attention and never will.

pokemon is immortal it will never be tooken down which stopping that brings me to digimon, now digimon
deserves more credit some people say it is a rip off of pokemon if you think about it the only thing thats similar
is the name

1 pokedex is much different than digivice
2 ones 1 season is placed in real world on in digital
3 one saves the world continually the other walks around with a rodent on his back

the list goes on plus wild digimon are 10 times more aggressive than pokemon

wich makes me say digimon is far better than pokemon and will remain that way through out all of pokemons immortal life

Actually it can be quite like that. In a digital environment a simple AI could go from something simple to something more complex in a matter of minutes. Whether it does this by being upgraded, learning from a superior program, or some other third thing (its almost 2 in the morning ) it can make huge leaps.

I agree that Digimon games are a bit crappy but the Series was really a lot better than pokemons. Well pokemons games are getting crappy too actually....

Digimon's anime is by far better than Pokemon's ever was or ever will be. Fun fact: Tamers could easily be considered an adult show if you consider some of the stuff they did later in the season. An example? The D-reaper had Jeri stuck in a continual state of mind-rape... for about a week on end. WOW. You wonder how they got THAT past the radar.

However, although some of the Digimon games are good, the Pokemon games are brilliant. Every generation they just keep getting better and better (aside from contests. Sereously, those were DESTROYED in DP.), and it never shows signs of stopping.

Although neither ripped off the other. Digimon started earlier as a Tamagotchi-ish thing, but the origanal idea of pokemon is - and I quote - sending objects through the Game Link Cable. So neither ripped the other off.

Which is stronger? Debatable
Which is cuter? Pokémon
Which is immortal? Differs between the series' standpoints & ours


Almost all digimon are stronger than most pokémon with the exception of Arceus & some legendaries if those legends are believable.


Pokémon are cuter hands down.


From the series' standpoint: Digimon are technically immortal. Even though fighting Devimon did do some heavy damage to Angemon, Angemon did come back & I believe it was the same one because of the way he acted. Their data could be saved & they could be brought back again & again. On the other hand, pokémon can die. Some pokédex entries & the pokémon graves in the 1st & 3rd gens are proof of that.

From our standpoint: Pokémon will probably outlast digimon but I don't think it will live forever. Fads can die off. Pokémon is a pretty strong fad but it isn't immortal.


As for me, I don't really have a preference for either. I just enjoy them both.

So you're saying that if Darwin had computers and AI in his day, he actually could have found something where his theory fit ? But that's different. That is still treating it like a computer program. Not calling it a missing link and equating it to some non-existent missing link between apes and humans . You can add virtual data. You can't add genetic data. Wait, did I just start a creation vs. evolution debate in the Pokemon forum? Over which was better, Pokemon or Digimon? I need to get out and witness more...
