on the topic, in some of the DS digimon games there is something like a pokedex for digimon, did you know that?
but since digimon evolve into many different things there may be no end to the number of things they can become.

Pokemon, hands down. Seriously, there are over 9000 of them, and they're all awesome. Digimon is cool, too, but Pokemon has constantly updating content. See: upcoming games called Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver, along with ShiningCrystal expected next year.

Well that depends, Pokémon always had the better games.

But Digimon had a much much better cartoon.

Seriously, season 1 and the first movie of Digimon is so amazing. I'm not kidding, if you haven't watched it yet, then you better do so.

pokemon:
good:
1.386 pokemon
2.have pokenav and pokedex
3.they are not data pokemon(it means that porygon is a digimon?)
4.when they evolve they can't go back...
5.like the episodes and they have no ending at all
6.legendary pokemon^^
bads:
1.they look weak...kinda
2.stupid team rocket which they always be shown in every episodes...it's barely annoying
3.every one pokemon only learn less than 4 moves
4.they can't talk human language
digimon:
goods:
1.its also powerful that they even make big holes...(for example that wargreymon's ultimate move...i dunno the name... you know the large ball...thingy...)
2.cool moves
3.uniting human and digimon...
4.can become digimon(digimon frontier)
5.digimon devices are cool and using of cards
6.they can talk human language
bads:
1.the first thing is their names...mon(terrierMON, gabuMON, pataMON, aguMON)...is there a meaning?
2.digimon's evolution...they can go back to 1st or second stage...
that's all...it's really hard to think

Stronger: Digimon they are data and anything ultimate or above will own any pokemon
Cuter: Pokemon for the most part, there are some fugly looking ones, but they were meant to be cuter over all
Immortal: Data can't die so Digimon
Most Useful: Pokemon, you can have over 300 pokemon, but only 1 digimon because they have to choose you
Anime: Digimon (I assume the sub > dub like usual I cant find the subs though >.<)
Games: Pokemon, yes pokemon games are ftw

I think pokemon because they have many pokemon and they are growing even though digimon is also very good because you can free rome and battle while you are free roming instead of havin to go into a battle phase and taking turns.

I like Pokemon better. I just grew up a pokemon fan and I don't think that Digimon is all that interesting. Of course, the anime has gone way downhill from the original Kanto region. But, the games are pretty good. My favorites are Poemon Yellow,and Pokemon Platinum. Also, there's a Pokemon Gold/Silver remake coming out in Japan this fall. They are called Pokemon Heartgold and Pokemon Soulsilver. The mascots are still going to be Ho-oh and Lugia, respectively. And a correction; there are actually 493 Pokemon total so far, not counting different forms.
