Personally, I think pokemon is better.
I used to watch both shows as a kid and although I liked both, I always thought pokemon was cooler. I can't say I've played any digimon games, but I absolutely love the pokemon games.
Not only that, but the pokemon are way cuter and will be remembered way longer than digimon.

Digimon had some cool designs, and Angemon was hott.

Pokemon is a good game though.

I liked both digimon and pokemon, they're both pretty cool (in that nerdy,not-cool-at-all kind of way). So I'll contribute here. But I stopped watching both of the shows pretty early, so I'll ignore that aspect of the rivalry.

First, Pokemon are way more cute. Even normal (Yeah, I said it) girls were all over pokemon in the early days when they first saw Pikachu.
Pokemon also has a consistent and reliable formula for thoroughly enjoyable video games.
The card game is a little silly, but I loved it, and still have a binder or two filled with the little guys- sad, I know.

Digimon are (generally) way more powerful and look more badass (Compare Charmander and Agumon). They also have more forms, and more monsters than Pokemon (881 to 386).
Let's face it, Digimon can't commit to any of the classic consistency in video games that Pokemon has. But I found Digimon World 3 was a great game, Digimon World 2 was OK, and Digimon: Rumble Arena was really fun.
Digimon cards never really caught on like Pokemon, and idk if it was any good. But I doubt it.


But the final epic blow that makes me give the edge to Digimon is the fact that it actually had some people convinced that they were real, and in our computers.lol

Like many of the people have said, digimon was a cool cartoon, which I really got into. Pokemon always had the awesome GB games, and those were fun. Also, Pokemon cards were much easier to come by. I think the -mon at the end of each DigiMON's name means monsters, while Digimon means digital monsters. The only problem with Pokemon now is the new ones are no longer original, they seem to look just like the original 150, or very close to them. I mean come on, they decided to create Sealeo when they already had Seel and Dewgong...? Running out of ideas much? They are starting to base their new ideas of their old ones, such as Tangrowth and Tangela. Anyway, I think Digimon wins just because the original series stayed original, they never really expanded, and kept it all the same. Just my 2 cents...

Pokemon defininitely all the way just because they did it first and they did it right. PLus they have been way more succesful than any remake like digimon or monster rancher

I just like pokemon better because the games were so epic. Digimon is weird cause they can talk.

I like pokemon better than digimon because I think pokemon is more orginal.Aslo pokemon is cuter and Magikarp can beat up Wargreymon any day you guys! You know it's true! !But you got to admit digimon battles in most games are better then pokemon because you don't take turns.But digimon had a good first and half second season but like pokemon it wnet downhill.I stil like pokemon better!

Pokemon is way better than Digimon. The game designers for pokemon can come up with new ideas and are extremely creative, but with digimon it's the same story of 5 or 6 kids who little pets that can fire out of their noses.

Pokemon because it has more influence in the U.S. than digimon(cuss digimon is more of an east asia thing than pokemon and there isn't a digimon store like the pokemon center in N.Y.).

Pokemon by far. Digimon is just a rip off of Pokemon. Pokemon has definitely out sold and outlasted Digimon.

I think the Digimon show was very good and alot more in depth then Pokemon was.
Even the weird season were people became Digimon.

As far as the games I can't say as I havn't played the Digimon games, but they look pretty good.

I don't think Digimon is a ripoff of pokemon.
They were both created around the same time and are completely different things.
In that case Pokemon is a ripoff of all the RPGs that you could get pets in

I think the only main reason that Pokemon is around and Digimon isnt is because Nintendo pushed Pokemon heaps (because they bought into the franchise) and Digimon wasn't shoved down peoples throats.

will i would say pokemon if u look at it pokemon has some cool games some of the movies r sweet and some pokemon kick ass. like say if digimon or pokemon was real i would take pokemon any day of the week.

Hey this is for all those Digimon fans.Fukkk Uuuuuu. Pokemon all day. sorry for my word choice but i could never think about watching digimon. i tried it once and it made my head hurt. I always thought digimon was a knock off pokemon. and to this day i still belive that. All my pokemon fans stand up
