I'm just curious as whether some people will think which of the Genesis Sonic trilogy is the best, whether it be the original Sonic game, Sonic 2, or Sonic 3 and Knuckles(individually, I think they are good, but shorter games, but together they definitely match up with the previous games in length.) Personally, I think my favorite of the bunch is Sonic 2, but then again, I'm just asking what you guys think.

I like Sonic 3 and Knuckles except for one part. The barrel in Carnival Night Zone took me a month to figure out.  Other than that, the music in the game is amazing and catchy. The way to collect the emeralds(Blue Spheres) was really well-done.

Though it was two games attached together, I think Sonic 3 and Knuckles was the best of the trilogy. The zones were inspired and expansive with a boss at the end of every stage. Blue Sphere took me a while to get used to.

Except when you beat 1 *SPOILER ALERT* it has a 'screw you' ending where if you don't find all of the chaos emeralds it ends with Dr. Eggman snickering at you with the words TRY AGAIN onscreen. Which kind of kills your happiness of beating the game because it's pretty difficult.

I it easily Sonic 3 and Knuckles, It it the biggest and the greatest game for the Sega Genesis, You can play as three different characters, There is super and hyper forms in the game, there a 14 emerald stages, the graphics are clean, and that's why I choose S3@K.

Sonic 2 was the first game that I beat, and does a pretty good job at capturing the idea of a game getting more difficult the further in you go. But I don't think S3&K can be touched, in this case. That game does an excellent job at providing a consistent storyline, given how the game, routes, and badniks differ from Sonic/Tails game and the Knuckles game, and having the largest number of levels of all three. Furthermore, the special stage feature remains, as well as the chaos emeralds.

If nothing else, the game is excellent at not getting boring.

All three of the classic  trilogy games were amazing but I have to say my favorite was definitely 3 and Knuckles. The level design was beautiful, the music was catchy, the controls were smooth, the difficulty was not to easy, but not to hard, the short cutscenes that transition each level were cool, and the game is so much fun to replay.
