I would actually have to agree. Majora's Mask focuses on the characters - almost every character in the game has a backstory and plots to solve. I also prefer this style of Zelda game over the "Dungeon Based" kind - I actually find exploring the over-world, meeting new characters, and advancing the plot to be far more entertaining than dungeon crawling.

Majora's Mask also brings the 3-day system to the table - I like the time travel concept and how the characters follow their schedules the same way every cycle. The only real drawback is the waiting. Sitting in a certain spot and waiting for something to happen at the correct time can be boring at times. But I still think it's the best of the series so far.

Beastbot16 : Majora's Mask is my favorite game. The atmosphere is extremely eerie at some parts, and some parts are a bit brighter but still feel sad, making wonder what the problem is. You can sense something is wrong. The plot is so thick, complex and detailed, with tons of content and overall the best gaming experience I have ever had the privilege to have.

I would say that Majora's Mask is better than Ocarina of time, but not quite due to the lack of dungeons. However,it
has the best combat of all the Zelda games, includes 2 minibosses in each dungeon, it even had refightable bosses!
I do love the 3 day cycle system the game has, and how the npcs have schedules that they follow.
The minigames were hard to win sometimes, but that's a good thing. The depth of the characters, the story.
I would have really liked it if we knew more about Ikana though, that was the best part of the game after all.

Majora's Mask was very challenging for me, and I never completed it. Its quite shameful because my sister is obsessed with it, and I use to watch her play every Zelda game she owns. She is practically a genius when it comes to Zelda. You would think I could learn some things from her, but nope, not at all haha I liked how you can change how you look with the masks. That was basically all I did was run around with different masks and such, and not really doing much of anything. But I would say that it is a great game.

I like Majora's Mask a lot too but the three day time limit is bothersome a lot of the time even though it can be controlled to an extent by the Ocarina. If I were to make it better I would love to add more dungeons, bosses, and put a secret boss battle where Link has to fight Fierce Deity Link to obtain his power with a story behind how it came to be (like Fierce Deity went to war with Majora in the past or something like that).

If I had to rank my favorite Zelda games, I think it'd go like this:

3. A Link to the Past
4. Majora's Mask
5. Twilight Princess

I really didn't like Majora's Mask. I liked the Ocarina of Time, but it wasn't my favorite Zelda game either. I think it was partly due to the oddness of the graphics; 3D is cool and all of that, but it was blocky and weird and slightly distracting. I am oldschool and I still prefer Zelda A Link to the Past the best.
