As most of you know (or should know) there are other religions out there. Confucianism, Buddhism, Islam, Zoroastrianism, Pastafarianism, and even Leggyism! What do Christians generally think about other religions? Are you tolerant to their beliefs, or do you believe them as heretics?  (Not trying to start a flame war here.)

An atheist, I'm tolerant to all religion. I don't believe in it, but I'm OK with a guy talking about Allah/God/Buddha/The Flying Spaghetti Monster/Leggy.

I am a Christian and i dont mind others talking about what they believe in and don't mind other religions and their beliefs. I believe in god and no one else can change my mind.

I do exeptionaly well in science but it never had discouraged my belief even though science can possibly prove my religion wrong.

Me and my friend have gotten into an religious argument about "The Big Bang Theory" since he is an Atheist. Wasnt long but it was like he was questioning my religion

And The Flying Spaghetti Monster? Really? XD

If there is such a god in another religion then wow

Edit: I hate it when i don't spell things correctly. It's like Autocorrect, you say bag instead of bang

First off I don't believe Confucianism is not a religion. Its more of a philosophy then a religion (at least to me it is.)

Secondly. I'm tolerant of Buddhism (as I believe in some of the Buddha's practices), Zoroastrianism (as one could argue that this was the first "Major" Monotheistic religion in the Ancient World...not trying to insult any of the Jewish memebers of Vizzed), and other religions as well.

Pastafarianism and Leggyism is just weird. (sorry leggy!)

I am a pagan and study a broad range of beliefs and practices many originating in the ancient Mesopotamian region near the fertile crescent a civilization called the chaldeans. The chaldeans were the developers of numerology,  astrology, and other forms of spirituality. The chaldeans priests were called magi and that term is were we get the term magician today. They were the wise men who came to jesus's birth as well. However there place in history is much older as there services were used by nearly every kingdom in the ancient world. I believe it is imperative to use history and learn history as a parallel to spirituality. My beliefs are quite complicated so I wont bother delving any more deeply here just thought I would put in my 2 cents on the subject. That the most important part of religion is making sure you gain something from it no matter what you choose to call it if you gain a fulfillment from church, mosque temple outdoor shrine. Indoor shrine alter etc. That is what's important its all about finding who you are and what you want in like. Where you fit in the cosmic dance.

TheNameWithNoNumbers : I’m tolerant of all religions… To me it doesn’t matter what your religion or beliefs may be if you’re a good person and we can get along you’re okay by me. It’s as simple as that. One thing I wish there was less off in the world is people using religion to spread bigotry and hatred.

Most religions that I am aware of teach peace, tolerance, acceptance, and compassion. I wish there was more peace in the world and less violence and hate speech. The world would be a much better place. As for me I just try to ignore the bigotry that I hear periodically on the news and treat everyone I come in contact with as I would want to be treated.

Probably in much the same way as the 3 religions most people in the west know of, judism, christianity and islam.
£ religions that hate each other, yet basically came from each other, judism, christianity with less violence in there texts and a belief in jesus as the son of god, and islam with various revisions and the belief jesus was in fact a prophet, not the son of god.
Religion forever splits. Look at Christianity, for years the pope executed different sects, but they eventually broke loose, now we have protestants, catholic, orthodox, jesuits, mormons, later day saints.

1 becomes 2 becomes 4 becomes 8.

Despite what people say, islam, christianity and judism are exceptionally similar, they just don't like to acknowledge it generally.

I was raised as a Christian and lived my whole life being told I should believe because its what I have to believe or when I pass on that I would go to a horrible burning pit. I had to follow certain rules and if I questioned why I had to follow them I was told I would understand when I was older or that I just had to.
Well as I grew people could still not give me answers and without answers I formed my own theories. With all the pain in the world why did god not help us. He was our creator our father but he was watching us destroy ourselves. When I rebelled on my parents I was punished but when I was hurt or needed help they still loved me and that would immanently helped me...so why did my "Father" not help me in the same way. I no longer truly believe in a god. My beliefs lye with the harmony of all things. There is a power within all of us that balances the world. Every animal plant and person has its own spirit and they all work together to further the good for all but in all there is the potential for evil. We each decide our own fate and we create our own hell. I believe in the mystic and the unseen around us all. I have described my belief as the Life Stream from FF7. (No I did not create my theories from the game, more like when I played it had an AH-HA moment.) It is not the perfect description but it is the best comparison I can find.
I do not resent Christians in anyway but I just cant force myself to just do it cause I am told. I can believe without seeing but I cant imagine that there is a being who loves me unconditionally but does not lift a finger when I am in actual need.
And before you tell me that "He helps those that help themselves" know that I was raped when I was 18 months old. Where was he to help the helpless? Cause the guy got away with it cause I was to young to stand trial, and tell people what happened.

Somewhere between 0 and 1% is the amount of care I have for what someones faith is, so long as they dont bring it into politics or state administration.

Equally, im happy enough to hear there view on things but i expect to be able to question there faith too. Iv had some good debates with people and friends following that line.

I really despise people who want to share there faith but wont allow you to do the same though. That would be the point I slam the door in there face. Its a pretty open topic in the uk, but on the global world of the internet it really isnt. So many religious people, and amazingly even a good few atheists, really dont make a distinction between debate and attack, and enter defence mode when you challenge those concepts.

I imagine you meant I dont think its a religionm, and id be inclined to agree, since Confucias was just a chinese philosopher. it does generally include perceptions of spirituality though, since chinese people believe in spirits etc.
