So when I was younger, I had a lot of likes and dislike (in foods particularly) that I don't have any more.  I find it fascinating, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

For example, growing up I hated oranges, green beans, and pineapples.
Now, I love all three, and I don't even know when the change took place, or why.

I never liked coconut either, but that I still don't like.

I used to really like candy, but I'm not the biggest candy fan anymore.

Oh most definitely. When I was a kid I hated spaghetti, green beans, peas, pretty much any vegetable and now I love all of them. And I love spaghetti, only I have to be careful with how much I eat. But the foods I didn't like as a kid, I love them now.

Yeah, I can sort of relate to that.

I loved chocolate as a kid, now I barely eat it anymore. It tastes so different than it did back then.....don't know why.

I know I already mentioned candy, but I thought of another like that completely changed for me sometime in the past few years:  Hard candy.  I'm not a big candy fan period anymore, sure.  But there's something about hard candy I just can't tolerate.  You'd think hard candy would be more likable since it can lost longer, but I'd rather zip through my candy and be able to chew it.  This kind of came to my noticed recently when I bought a bag of jolly ranchers.  Though I still do like jolly ranchers, all other hard candies are totally unattractive to me.

When I was a kid,I actually LOVED Spongebob Squarepants.But it sucks for me nowadays.

Oh, you know Varaddude, I was talking about food in my original post, but it didn't even dawn on me to talk about things my tastes have changed in OTHER than food.  LOL

There are TONS of shows I used to like and don't like any more.  I think that's kind of natural though, since our maturities and intelligence are constantly growing.  ^.^

Happened to me too with String beans and other vegetables. When I was younger, I found all vegetables to be nasty and refused to have them. As I grew older, I finally accepted them to be healthy and not so bad compared to some vegetables... And when I took a cooking class and learned how to season a little, I grew to love string beans... AND broccoli and a few other vegetables.

I still stay away from Cauliflower, spinach, and asparagus though... I tried them again, and no matter what seasonings I give them, they just are nasty to me. Spinach especially! I want to like it, but the texture makes my gag reflex activate and I have to spit it out or throw up.

I used to really like acoustic guitar, and then I suddenly became interested in bass and electric and pretty much became awesome at playing them. Poor acoustic guitar, in the dusty, cold, corner in my room....

Reaserch has shown that if you do or don't like something, it may change in the next 5 years but if the feeling you have of it is the same then it'll always stay like that. 

Ah, yes. The changes that occur when you don't even notice them. One of my ever favorite food items as a child were the Beanie Weenies - you know, the ones that you can buy in a can? Yeah. I'd eat 'em all the time. My mom always kept them in stock because they were easy to serve and I would sit down and eat them cold.

Found them in the local Fred's just a month ago. Flipped out because I hadn't seen them in forever and I used to love them so, so I got me a can. And barely finished it. It tastes SO bland now - when it used to be so tasty before. I wound up going back and getting the stuff to make it homemade. MUCH better. Rather wonderful little treat, baked beans with cut-up hotdogs... :3 And easily storable and re-heatable too.

Used to love kool-aid - can't stand it now. Most of the time, anyhow. And another is Macaroni & Cheese. My stepdad burned me out completely on both. (He did with the band Metallica too...)

Now, music? I used to refuse to listen to most everything, but now I pretty much enjoy everything except rap (which isn't music at all), pop (which still repeats itself too much), techno (and the like, which also isn't music), and R&B (Dunno what I don't like about this). Classical is iffy. It puts me to sleep, so I only like it when I have intentions to sleep. However - I love music from back when music was new to the newest music, pretty much.

When i was younger i absolutely hated steak and pork now i absolutely love it lol, things have changed a bit... I also like any child hated vegetables and now that i'm older i eat them all the time especially since i need to stay healthy.
