Your favorite Zelda? As in the character herself?
I would have to say the Skyward Sword Zelda was my favorite. She had a lot more character than the other Zeldas throughout the series - the game actually tried to make you care about her and it worked quite well. Most of the other Zeldas basically felt "there to be there" in the early games (the Zeldas in the first two games have 1 and 0 lines, respectively) and only a few others feel like characters at all.

There's also the fact that Skyward Sword Zelda looks like Maya Fey from the Ace Attorney series. That alone would've been enough reason for me to make her my favorite Zelda, but that wouldn't be a fun post to read.

Favorite Zelda as in the character, I don't have an opinion. Probably Skyward Sword even though I havn't played it yet I've heard she's a great character in that one. Favorite Zelda as in the game, probably Ocarina of Time. Minish Cap was awesome as well. So was Twilight Princess.

I know that this is almost the standard favorite, but mine is Ocarina of Time. I grew up watching my brother play it, so I guess it's the nostalgia or something like that.

Mines definitely Wind Waker for the Game Cube. I loved how you could use the magic stick that Link got and use certain rhythms in order to use magic. I also loved how you can sail on the talking boat guy. There was a ton of stuff to do in that game, and it was very difficult for me when I was younger. I would just sail around basically doing nothing, except sniping those pirate guys on their stands in the water. I would use my bow for everything. I had a lot of fun sniping enemies and using that leaf to sail in mid-air in the wind. I loved the tools you got in that game, especially that huge hammer that would break almost anything. On your home island, I also enjoyed challenging the sword master, and I kept trying to break my combo that I had with him. Over-all, it was my favorite Zelda game that I have played, beat, and enjoyed.

My favorite Zelda game is Zelda ocarina of time. It is by far the best because of the story line graphics and the sound. I love those old classic music and graphics a lot.

My favorite game would have to be Legend of Zelda:  The Wind Waker.  I love the idea and the game's mechanics, especially when your on the sea, (which is my favorite game song of all time, The Great Sea). I enjoy especially how polished the game looks, and how well all the characters look.  I especially love to storyline. The idea of the whole game just is great in general. A close second would have to be Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

I like all of the Legend of Zelda games, but my favorite is Skyward Sword. The style of game play and the story are both really great. However, the best part about the game is the artwork. Instead of using only CGI, the game's backgrounds and such were beautifully painted with water colors. Pretty gutsy move on Nintendo's part, and it came out amazing.

My favorite Zelda (person) has to be Ocarina of time Zelda because she is actually a princess. (even though she is a tom boy)

As for the games, there are many great parts and many poor parts of every game ie. Twilight princess had textures but not difficulty. Ocarina of time has good dungeons but an empty field. Skyward sword had. . .oh, what did the game actually have to after to the player. . .oh, that's right swordplay, and the graphics if you like them. The best game overall has to be ( for me anyways) Ocarina of time that game was the most balanced and had the least amount of problems. There are no problems with the game out side the field and the great fairies.

Everybody is picking the 3D ones... if we are going with "official" LOZ games, I would say I enjoyed the snes one: a link to the past.  If we are going with "all including fan made" ones, I like the fan-made return of the hylian, oni link begins and a time to triumph trilogy.  Not overly long games, but fun all the same.

I don't think it is possible to pick between any one Zelda game. Each one is unique in some aspect and don't really out-do one another. It is really up to the players preference. Except for the "Un-Holy Triforce" on the Philips CD-I, because they suck.

My favorite game in the series was Majora's Mask, because it tested my speed to get through certain parts of a dungeon before time ran out. I also loved all the cool masks that really added to the gameplay.

To be honest, at this point, I'm not sure what my most favourite is. Really, I like most of them; but I would say the number one favourite would be... Majora's Mask.

While I didn't get to it until well after the GameCube came out (collector's disk thing), it was an interesting sequel to Ocarina of Time. Very interesting principles, interesting characters, if not interesting spins added to them. The whole Time Attack aspect of it was an interesting touch, too. Even after you get used to using the Inverted Song of Time, and later when you need to, the Song of Time. I used to hate it, and would even scare me, but watching my younger brother play it, and win, it started to look quite a nice challenge. I never got too far yet, but I enjoyed it all the same.

Each Game in this series is different.
It's the reason why They are released with the notion of every new one being a prequel. Only The major ones have sequels to them. The first one with it's partner "The Adventure Of Link", The S.N.E.S. one has it's partner with "Link's Awakening", And the N.64.'s Incarnation had it's partner with "Majora's Mask". All of these were its own game and sequel with their own set of rules. For the Generational Junkies that want to know witch one got me hooked? It would be the first one for the "N.E.S." For the Story Junkies that want to know witch one I could read forever and not get board with? It would have to be the third one for the S.N.E.S. "A Link To The Past." The Answer to the Replay Junkies who want to know witch one I want to replay over and over again? Its the N.64 instalment "O.O.T."
Honestly?
I can not pick a favourite out of those three.
I equally wanted more sequels for each. I want to know if Link Scored the Girl at the end of each tale. There's Evidence that supports the idea of the Link from the First N.E.S. game actually doing so. The others either have a "chance of", or avoid answering that question altogether. So, For me to weigh in all my values for what makes a better game out of those titles is a rough call to make.
The idea that two souls waiting hundreds of years to finally be together is a great hook for a story. Keeping that hook going for longer than twenty years, On the other hand, is a bit of a streach. Expecting folks to continue endorsing such a project is concerning. I cant buy every new game console that comes out. Its just that simple. So, for the sake of time and money consumption, I'll stick to the hero that at least got something for his troubles with the first Two Games on the "N.E.S."
The first was my favourite. The rest were nice tales, but large let downs with the hero's pay-check. N.E.S. wins with my vote.
Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a Fork in me.
Peace.
