When your younger (Elementary School Days) you don't really understand or care about being as physically fit as one can be. But as you get into high school it turns into some sort of contest. I Remember the first year of high school the gym teacher makes you do tons of weight lifting and running to get you in the zone after you gain a couple of pounds goofing off in the summer. Once you get used to it it becomes a ....pissing contest. Anyway i made my mind up a year ago that i wanted to be the best i could be. 'Strict Diet' Work out and maintain.

Do any of you get that drive that makes you want to be the best as you could possibly be?
Do you think having a 6 pack and ripped biceps make's you better?
Are you, a fitness freak like i am?

I'm not a 'freak' but I train hard, I work hard, I eat healthy foods, and I'm in excellent shape.  It makes me feel proud, makes me feel good, helps me sleep at night, attracts attention from women, and I can play sports and outperform everyone else on the soccer field/pool/basketball court/tennis court, etc.

I care but I'm no freak.

I'm not a fitness freak, but I DO wish I could be in shape.  Unfortunately, I'm missing that drive for some reason and I can't quite fathom how to get it.  I don't think there's anything wrong with people who DO want a six pack, as long as they don't take it to unhealthy extremes.

I've had the drive since I was 15. I'm constantly motivated to improve my fitness from my martial arts classes.

I wouldn't say being "super-fit" counts for anything, it's more about going beyond your physical capabilities of performance.

I don't like being a "Gym Nut".
I have a job that required me to study how to maintain my body due to the fact that it is very labor intensive. Each person is required to lift, sort, inventory, and place 20,000 pounds of product everyday. Eventually you start spending allot of money on food. At one point I spent around $600.00 dollars a month just to maintain my weight of a mere 145 pounds. My target weight was 150-155 pounds. I love being a physically capable person. I hate being poor because of it. If I were to skip a meal it would cost me my ability to perform adequately. The most I've seen on results are looking like a teenager at age 30. Not some Muscle bound super star like you'd imagine. Still though its nice to know I can do more with a minutes worth of time than the average person. I just wish I could take a break from the routine of it all. Everyday is exactly the same. I'm trapped. Video games are a great distraction. They give me something to do when I'm board. They also inspire me to include a couple of different procedures with my job to include cool looking movements or brain enhancing skills. (Typically the movements are martial arts and the skills are problem solving and numerical computations.) Maintaining my weight was a study that became a need, due to the fact that my life depended on it. So, I had to look up Words like "Calories" and "Diets" to discover what different foods did to me aside from making me feel better before sleeping and looking in the mirror. The discoveries I made there were fun but I still prefer to not know I have a mild allergic reaction to tomatoes that results in occasional pimples. I would love to be in the dark about needing to eat at least 150 grams to 2-3 pounds of meat every day to maintain my Weight. I miss not knowing that Meat was the most highly regulated item in the "super market". (Its almost as if "Someone" wants the average person to look unhealthy if you read the contents labels on food Items.) I miss not knowing what muscle groups I'm working out when I do any/every activity. Though I am happy to report that I do at least get paid to suffer through a workout and count reps. That's about it. I don't get any special looks from the women I want to notice. And I get little encouragement to continue. Because my body just looks younger instead of getting overtly massive, when I workout, its like being stuck in a "time warp". You get "carded" buying soda for pity sake. I'll be happy the day a machine is invented to make my job not so physically brutal. Maybe then I'll stop looking for ways to get grey hair. My Job Sucks.

I wouldn't class myself as a fitness freak, but I do like to stay in shape.
I find a set routine workout, one I do every morning and evening keeps me fit.
But I don't push myself to do more than I have to, just enough to keep me in good condition.

No, I am not a fitness freak going to the gym and lifting weights everyday and doing 50,000 push ups. I am in pretty good shape already. I weight 130 lbs at age 15, I like running a lot for track and cross country.  I can do like 100 sit ups or 70 push ups whenever I want to for gym and it really is not that hard, so I guess you could say that I am not fitness crazy.
