Does anyone here ever have personality traits about yourself you don't like? Mine would have to be that I don't like when I feel I have to defend myself. Sometimes I get a little overboard. I'm also a very offensive person, what I meant by that is I get offended really easy. Those are things I would really like to change about myself. Oh and if this is in the wrong forum, please feel free to move it.

I have 5...

1. I have a huge ego (I'll admit it, but as a person studing politics...I have to. )
2. I'm very sarcastic. I don't mean too, but I come off as it (thou I'm working on it).

SunflowerGaming: I too have a few poems published myself (its mostly romantic type poetry that I'm good at, was hoping to become a wedding vow writer at one point as a profession...but I decided that it wasn't a good idea). I think that it's just growing up and hanging out with other guys, we tend to look down on poetry as being "gay", "girly", or "unmanly". Plus I was younger at the time and you know how children are when another child has a unique trait about them. Now I'm not as guilty of my skill...I just don't show it to others (well I guess you and everyone else on vizzed now knows .

I sometimes get easily jostled by my students.  If they try to accuse me of things, I get upset at their audacity.  Though most of the time it doesn't get to me, there are some days that I can't help but let my feathers be ruffled.  Our students these days are so self-entitled.

Singelli : I noticed that this generation is really spoiled. I mean when we were kids, cell phones were just coming out and only parents had them. Plus we didn't have out own computers. So maybe it's because these kids nowadays think they are entitled to whatever they want.

I was monitored when I was a kid when I went on the computer, I wasn't allowed to go on by myself until I was 16, and even then most of the time it was only allowed for school. I remember when I worked for the school district as a campus monitor, the things that those kids would say shocked me, it's probably worse by now.

Singelli : I don't doubt that at all. Kids these days are learning about sex at a younger and younger age. They're applying what their parents teach them or lack there of. They either learn that kind of behavior at home or they learn it from their peers. And even at times there parents don't care enough about them to take an active interest in their lives and try to teach them to have more positive influences in their lives. I think some parents give them a little too much freedom because they don't want "to be the bad guy". Discipline when giving in a correct and respectable manner will help build a better person. But some people are either to busy to take the time or just down right don't care.
